Got screamed very loudly at and pointed at by a cashier because I went to the collection point of till before the other customer walked away. She was pointing and shouting YOU STAND THERE! I asked her who did she think she was speaking to and she continued to point in my face and shout in Spanish. I told her I don’t speak Spanish and I wanted to speak to tbe manager. I explained what had happened and he apologised something she should have done. Apparently you have to wait until the previous customer has left before you move to this side of the till. She could have explained this politely as I was not aware🙁 A local Spanish gentleman approached me to apologise for her behaviour and explained she behaves this way constantly and is ugly to customers all the time! It's conveniently located with basic (overpriced) selection of everything and has own "bakery" (pre-made frozen products of course). Half of the staff is very nice and helpful (that's what the second star is for), but a good portion of the rest will hate you and will make sure you are aware of it.

What's worse, the tags in the store mean nothing, your bill will easily end up being 20-30% higher. Pack of sliced iberico ham for 2.29? Sure: 4.79. There always seem to be a few of these in our cart. Now try to get it sorted with someone who only speaks Spanish. Nothing wrong with that, of course, unless your clientele is 95% tourists from the rest of Europe...

I enjoy going in here, find the staff friendly and helpful. Lovely lady serving at the checkout this morning, always makes me smile. It's a God-send for me, a quick stroll from my apartment. Well-kept and clean. It may be a bit more expensive than the big Spars, I'm not sure. But not hugely. Can get everything I need and there's a wide selection.
