Terrible service, Awful prawn cocktails. food didn't arrive as ordered, even though was ordered the day before. Abusive and threatening staff. Don't waste your money going here, they don't listen to your food order requests. Go to a restaurant that appreciates your custom. Our evening was totally ruined by thoughtless and abusive staff.

Sunday.......am. A reply now received from this restaurant. Completely ignoring the fact that we ordered our lamb the day before so that it would be ready, it was NOT ready! On the evening we did order 3 prawn cocktails but only 1 arrived to the table. Why would we only order 1 starter? There were three people for dinner! As it happens when they did arrive, they were not good, never have I had carrots and a boiled egg in a prawn cocktail! We ate what we could! Then we were left waiting for our main course of the lamb order. We waited patiently but after nearly an hour we asked where our food was. We were told it was coming. Another 10 minutes went by so my husband asked again getting the same answer. After several more minutes he decided to get up and went over to the bar to ask yet again. My husband was again told it was coming but it did not and our patience finally ran out! We had a half bottle of wine left which we left on the table, also some wine in the glasses.

We decided enough was enough and asked for our bill. The bill was 40 euro, we gave cash of 25 euros after making a reduction for the terrible food and service that we HAD received. We did NOT leave without paying anything as you are suggesting! In fact we would have been totally justified in doing so given the circumstances.

Had you communicated with us offering apologies and explained that our food was taking longer than expected, there would have been a different outcome. Instead you chose to leave us not knowing what was happening, while you served other customers who had in fact arrived long after after we did.

Your version of events is totally twisted! You also need to look at how you handle this kind of situation. Being abusive and threatening is totally unacceptable! We did NOT make a fuss and tried to deal with it quietly but you and your staff chose to shout and make threats. In fact I think it is us who should be contacting the police! We are only too happy to tell them how badly you have treated us. We are respectable retired people who have never been treated this way by anyone. How dare you carry this on and without even one word of an apology! You are a disgrace to the...

Was a great restaurant for lunch we ordered lasagna and pasta salad. The waiter was very kind and very helpful and even modified the salad for us adding some sauces to our liking and was very kind and generous very nice atmosphere to with a great lovely view in the day on the ocean and the beach. During lunch, it isn’t very crowded so it was pleasant to stay and have a great chat. Really, just a great lunch and I truly recommend for anyone. The meals were very tasty and occurring to the price. I must say not the best food ever but good for the price and atmosphere. Once again the waiter was very kind and very pleasant. Very nice. Her finner du trolig det beste spisestedet i La Playa del Cura!

En opplevelse hver eneste gang og tenke seg til om Oslo hadde et tilsvarende spisested med alt det innebærer!

Vi valgte et mer stille sted denne gangen på Gran Canaria og valget falt på La Playa del Cura som base.

Her forhørte vi oss som vi alltid gjør med andre gjester på hotellet som var fullt av Nordmenn, Svenske, Danske og fra Finland. Majoriteten av alle tilbakemeldinger var spis på El Gran Toro og så ble det!

Jeg har ikke tall på hvor mange besøk til lunsj og middag det ble, men maken til vårt "andre hjem" ble det og vi koste oss stort fra første stund!

Alldeles hyggelig atmosfære og en betjening som ikke kan få gjort nok for gjestene sine, ja samtalene over bordet til andre gjester bekreftet det samme!

Ungdommene som er "kresne" som ungdom flest i tiden vi lever i overflod nå, gav ikke en éneste lyd fra seg på dette annet en nær-til-smatting av maten hvor den ble inntatt til stor fornøyelse!

El Gran Toro har selve oppskriften på alt du kan begjære og minner meg litt om Bella Napoli i Oslo tilbake i tid!

Jeg er ingen typisk pizza "elsker", men prøv salami og løk om du liker dette og jeg kan garantere at du også vil få en smaksopplevelse uten like!

STORE porsjoner du blir mett av så vi bommet litt med forrett første gangen, ja bare vent å se, men for all del vi tok inntil flere av disse med og servitørene er svært dyktige på å gi deg anbefalinger på mat og vin!!

Dette har vært så hyggelig og nå setter vi oss snart på flyet til Norge og kjedelige mat fra Meny og det vanlige som fredagstacoen......
