This bar is ideal if you’re into watching sport, with various sporting events televised around the bar areas most days/evenings. Apart from serving Guinness I didn’t really see what the Irish connection is. The venue is ok if you’re just after drinks as the food lets the side down. It’s clear from the menu that the food on offer is of the deep fried convenience variety. We did try the Steak and Guinness pie one evening and wish we hadn’t. There wasn’t much meat and the whole thing resembled tasteless runny gravy. The pasty crust topping was not properly cooked through either. Very disappointing. 3 stars for the bar side of the business. Personally, I’d steer clear of the food.

A wonderful place!! Been there 3 times and the staff recognised me the third time and had a casual conversation. And when I asked for any recommendations they gave me a fair and "cheap" drink (cheap from personal reference but still really tasty) There are a few people there but I had lovely conversations with most of them still. No loud music but that is a plus for my own taste. I also loved the food, it's really good and don't save on sides and such. Went there with the family and they also said they liked the place Ps. Great place to watch a game of soccer

Was staying one week at OCB in Playa del Cura recently. We went to The Old Brouge first night for drinks and to watch the game - came back almost every day after that. All the staff is really friendly, helpful and friendly. We had nice chats and banter with them throughout the week. Good food and can recommend to get the specials listed in the restaurant, like the cod, Guinness pie etc. Great prices and the price performance ration is by far the best we experienced. Looking forward coming back!

Don't eat food here if you don't want food poisoning. On Sunday 2nd June we were the last customers to order food. The service was very slow, no-one wanted to take our order. The lady waiter was talking for 30min with customers that seemed to be friends with her and completly ignored us. When someone finally arrived to take our order I asked for fish and chips and badly regretted it after. I spent whole night in the toilet with diarea and vomiting. It's been now 1 week & I am still in recovery after terrible food poisoning. I wanted to inform the owner the next day but looks like the place is closed until 6th July (probably for holidays/ low season). I recommend the owner should seriously look how fresh the fish is and the conditions in which fish is cooked. I am seriously concerned of other future customers, after reading now another review from 3 months ago about food poisoning. This restaurant should be closed if proper hygenic conditions cannot be...

Got woken up at 6am rush to the toilet violently throwing up. Went for Sunday roast but it’s popular and had finished, so I had the Irish stew with rice on the side, it came faster than I could smoke half a cigarette, how can food come that fast less than 5 mins. The rice was steaming hot, the stew was not, tasted fantastic but unfortunately there was a problem somewhere, before I went to bed I had a feeling something wasn’t right, what can you do, I went to sleep and for sure got woken up at 6am… I’m sorry but stay away from the food. This is not the first time, many times the little things like the beans with my breakfast are not hot, can’t even use the microwave!! I won’t go on, but I thought they would have fired the chef and done something about it by now as the owner and staff are lovely, but no, the chef remains!! Just the coffee from now on guys.. thanks a lot - I’ll be in tomorrow for a refund I’m not...

We have stayed in Playa Del Cura twice and loved visiting this bar on both occasions. It is a great place to pop into at the beginning of the evening before going on to one of the local restaurants or as a refreshment stop after a day at the beach. Local beer is very good and there is a wide choice of spirits and cocktails. The food is of a very high standard and I would recommend the burger. The staff are extremely friendly and will go out of their way to make you feel at home. While there on the most recent occasion, they played EPL football and arranged for the boxing to be on the big screen too when requested. We will definitely visit again if we holiday in Gran Canaria...
