During my 4 nights in Locarno I ate here for dinner 3 times. The food is amazing and Nick is extremely friendly, it was a pleasure chatting with him. I loved the steak calzerotti - it’s definitely a must try. Don’t hesitate and just go, you can’t go wrong with any Calzerotti!

During my 4 nights in Locarno I ate here for dinner 3 times. The food is amazing and Nick is extremely friendly, it was a pleasure chatting with him. I loved the steak calzerotti - it’s definitely a must try. Don’t hesitate and just go, you can’t go wrong with any Calzerotti!

First of all, if you ever are in Locarno you HAVE to visit this foodtruck! If you're checking out options to eat, don't disregard this because it is "just a food truck", you will be blown away by the quality and taste of the food. Nick (the owner) was incredibly nice, he speaks perfect english and the story of how he got here with his truck is very interesting. The food tho. Holy hell that was one of the best things I've ever eaten in my entire life. Almost all the ingredients are from ticino and Nick takes those ingredients and transforms them into something that can only be described as a masterpiece. It truly is an experience to eat here just because the food is so so so good! Well if it's so good, it also has to be expensive I hear you ask? Wrong. It is very affordable even though Nick could charge me double and I'd still buy his sandwiches! 10/10, if I lived here I'd visit his truck every. single. day. Over 150 5-Star-Reviews speak...

It was a particularly wonderful experience to taste something made with love and passion by someone who loves what they do. First off, the food was super - fresh ingredients, prepped and cooked in front of us (the basil came from a live basil plant - that was a nice touch). Nic(o) also gave us a great set of tips for our future travel plans to Italy.

He even inexplicably apologized and refuse to charge us for one of the items we ordered because he thought the bread wasn't up to his usual standard (we did not think so - it tasted spectacular), and shared his wine with us without us asking!

Can't recommend the Calzerotti Food Truck enough. Definitely 100% check it out if you...

We really struggled to find a budget friendly option of high quality in Locarno (most of Ticino for that matter), and were so lucky to stumble upon Calzerotti. The owner was incredibly friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. He described all the available items on the menu for the day, while providing background to where the ingredients came from as well as free tasting on some of his prosciutto and cheese, both of which were incredible. I couldn’t recommend this place enough, easily our best food...
