With Whale World you can hope on a boat and they'll take you out to see dolphins and whales in the wild. The important thing to remember is the wild. There is no guarantee of what you'll see when you go out. It is possible to end up with a relaxing boat ride with only beautiful views of the shore in the distance. On my trip, we can into a ton of dolphins right when we left port and then for the last hour and a half of the trip we saw nothing.
Important things to remember is you need to sign up before hand, don't head straight to the harbor. They have a clean little office close to the harbor where they'll collect your info (bring your passport or ARC, they need it for insurance) I believe they have a little shuttle van from the office to the docks. Pickup was smooth and although water was kind of rough, they really look hard for dolphins. It was an hour before we spotted a group of dolphins.
Luckily for their appearance, otherwise we would have gone back empty handed.
Probably better to come before November when water are less rough and chances of spotting...
