Wonderful experience from A to Z. I booked with Sacha through Whatsapp at 10pm on saturday for a boat ride the following Sunday morning at 10am. She was extremely responsive and efficient: the boat driver was waiting for us just as promised, at 10am. Sacha offered several options, we decided to go for the simple 2 hours boat ride and absolutely loved it. We just stopped to feed the fish (it is funnier than it sounds!) and quickly visit an organic farm. The itinerary was awesome, going through typical neighbourhoods and beautiful hidden temples along the canals. It was nice to see some exotic wildlife as well (lizards as big as crocodiles, weird looking birds and so on). The boat driver was just perfect, very quiet, very patient, would slow down when we take pictures, did not take us to any tourist trap, and even offered us bottles of water and bread to feed the fish. I've had a lot of boat tours in Bangkok over the years and this one was by far the nicest one. We paid 950 bahts per person which is a good price too. We arrived without a reservation near the peer and the tour company accommodated us without question. 10 mins later only two of us were in the boat and cruising. We paid the driver directly after our canal tour. Our polite, helpful driver was very skilled, slowing and even stopping and reversing for photos we desired. The stop at the Orchid farm where the 2nd generation owner gave us a private tour was a treat. A quick stop to buy a bunch of small bananas from a boat woman on the canal was also memorable and photo worthy. The final stop to feed the fish was an unexpected surprise. Be sure to cast the free bread the boat driver gives you a distance from the boat unless you like to get splashed by the thrashing fish. We got splashed but it was worth it! We also saw approximately 5 large lizard-looking reptiles with long tails swimming in the canal. They seemed to have a forked tongue that they flicked in and out like a snake. We had a very lovely tour through the canals of Bangkok with a gentleman named Mr T, who was very good at his job and informed us of everything and took many many photos of the three of us together. With my 2 year old daughter and WIFE. He said he would send them to us after the tour. So we didn't think to take group photos of us as a family together as Mr T looked after that for us. It was really beautiful and a great experience, BUT unfortunately the experience was ruined by Mr T deciding to not send us any of the photos and deleting them all, so we had no photos of our family as a group together. The only way we can understand that he did this was that we gave him a tip of 100 baht tip at the end, but he seemed quite disappointed with that and actually just gave it away to the boat driver and then deleted all our photos.
