SoBe Dubai - Rooftop Lounge — Local services in Dubai

The views of the place are nice and currently they are taking social distancing and mask wearing very seriously which is great. The food was overall good and the ambiance nice. However, at the beginning of the night (Thursday) the DJ was playing a lot of rough hip hop and rap which didn’t really match the place and atmostphere. Later in the evening after 3 hours of not so great music, the DJ started playing more pleasing tunes. I would have the place 5 starts if it wasn’t for the service. It was below average and at some points the staff was a little bit rude. I’m not sure if they were understaffed. I’m a bit fan of the W brand and I’ve been to the W The Palm other F&B and had awesome service, not sure what happened at this place. On the plus side, they have two pinball machines win the place as you head to the main room indoors which are awesome. One was broken but the other was working. I really enjoyed that. I don’t normally write reviews, but this one’s well deserved.

Had dinner at Sobe in W Dubai and honestly, it was a vibe from start to finish. The atmosphere is insane — sunset views, music that’s not too loud but sets the tone, and the kind of crowd that makes you feel like you’re in the right place.

Now the food… I tried the beef skewers (photo attached) and they were ridiculously good. Perfectly grilled, full of flavor, and that dipping sauce had the right amount of kick. I wasn’t expecting it to hit that hard, but it did. Even the little salad garnish on the side was fresh and well thought out.

Service was on point too. Friendly staff without being too much. They know the menu, they’re quick, and they let you just enjoy your time.

Only reason I didn’t give it a perfect 5 is because prices are a bit up there — but honestly, with that view and quality, I can’t really complain.

Definitely worth checking out if you’re in Dubai and want something a bit more special without feeling...

WORST CUSTOMER CARE EVER FOUND INSIDE A BONVOY PROPERTY

if you think about a smooth process of booking a table forget to enjoy your time at Sobe. It took so many days for a simple booking, I even did a survey to check what was the issue in confirming my booking for TWENTY people. The dedicated customer care went on holiday without handing over my booking request to other people, after he/she came back, again no news. Finally I got a reply and only the moment before the confirmation they informed me about minimum spent, new arrangements with chef and overall this stressed me out and I booked an other place. with same spent that did not made my life impossible.
