Had a wonderful day at BCH!
Starting from the entrance, you are amazed by the colorful and attractive design. Everything looks neat, chic and aesthetic.
We were welcomed by Jasmine with a warm smile.
Once you cross the reception area, you can appreciate the panoramic view of the whole venue, following the same vibrant and pleasant style.
We got a double bed right in front of the swimming pool, with one of the best views I've ever experienced, the main "Palm Jumeirah "stem" and Marina!
We were greeted and taken care of by Danica and Dalia! Both were friendly and very approachable.
The menus have a smart, yet sophisticated, look.
Although we were planning on enjoying the Sunday's Paella paired with a Sangria, decided to try one of BCH signature cocktails. The Naught Colada was perfect! Apart from getting a balanced cocktail, you get a fresh and tasty coconut with perfect flesh.
After chilling a little while at the pool, we went to the main feature of the day, La Paella by Pelá's restaurant (by BCH:CLB)
Vanessa gave us a little tour and helped us with our questions. There are two options to choose from, Seafood and Meat. Tomahawk Paella was the winner, even better with the garlic aioli.
Apart from La Paella, we got to try plenty of tapas:
The "Gyoza Beef & Caviar Taco" (?) was my favorite, followed by the "Beef Truffle & Caviar Brioche" (?). Sliders and Truffle Fries were perfect, and the Padron Peppers were outstanding! Ceviche was mild, yet refreshing, and the "Bruschetta" was comfortly good. Some of the flavours and ingredients were new to my friend, and she enjoyed them all, but she loved the Potato Croquettes!
As for the sweet finale, I'm a huge Basque lover, and Pelá's didn't disappoint! I really appreciated the fact that you could see the vanilla beans on both cheesecakes! The Lemon White Chocolate Mousse (?) with Lemon Granita was phenomenal!
Kudos to both Chef Roland & Anthony, and the whole Pelá & BCH kitchen team for an amazing meal!
Throughout all our day, Cinthya and Marek checked on us and made sure we were having a good time with our Sangria glasses always full ;).
Last but not least, both DJs were great! The music and mixes were always consistent, excellent beats!
Overall we had a blast and will definitely recommend it and come...
Read moreThis place used to be great. The food and service still is good but there are so many drawbacks. First of all the pool is dirty and falling apart as tiles keep coming off. This causes an issue with getting cut to pieces in the broken pool floor…
Second issue is the commercial direction of this place. Last year the brunch was a different concept. This year it’s totally different but they don’t advise or make this clear in the branding. You pay for a brunch that is advertised as pool access but in reality it’s impossible. You are seated in a restaurant and to go in and out you must be dry and clothed…. Come on! Even the photo of the brunch is drinks and food next to the pool!
We complained and were offered a bed at the pool at an increased price per person in comparison to the brunch with redeemable spend. Then despite only using one bed the minimum spend increases with the number of people who join! This costs BCH no extra cost yet they charge. BCH do not offer extra bed space and do not need extra staff and make more money! How is this right? I will be following this up with DED as this is a fair misuse of customers because of the incorrect advertising of a brunch and the squeezing of money out of customers. The defence is “we explain the cost on the day”… that doesn’t...
Read moreThe staff are the unfriendliest staff of any place I have experienced in my long years in Dubai. No matter what you ask for, they pull a face like they are doing you a favor. Off the bat, they treat you as if you are intoxicated and cannot comprehend anything.
The ladies day is a total scam. I do not drink alcohol and they did 0 effort to at least offer water or any mocktails whereas I had paid 250 dhs. They said with this package you can only have sparkling wine. I switched to a la carte menu and spent 300 dhs on cafeteria food quality and still they did not bring me the non alcoholic beverage menu. Also, 250 dhs of ladies day “package” yet water is not included!!!!
Shisha is minimum 250 dhs. But it is nonsense! Its an electronic shisha that works for 1.5 hrs. They don’t tell you about this and when you call the staff, they shrug their shoulder like it is what it is.
Service is terrible + slowww. Hygiene is below 0. The pool tiles are all broken and spread inside the pool so you will keep stepping on them. Shower heads are all broken in the changing rooms. No shampoo etc. they have hand soap in the shower 😐
Will never return again. Waste of money and time. As a hotelier, I’m shocked that this place is a part of a...
