I had an appointment for BIAB with Selvina. She was very polite and welcoming. I enquired beforehand and was informed they primarily used TGB for gel application. However, the options for colours were limited. I was keen for shade 019, which they had but Selvina seemed reluctant to use. We ended up using another colour which was okay but the application was my biggest concern. I had to mention several times the layers were not being given enough time to cure (I have training in TGB application). She was willing to let me keep my hand under the UV for longer but it never passed 90secs until the top coat. I also found the application of the builder gel was not appropriate. It wasn’t built up. It was more like you would apply regular gel. The end product for the nails looked very bulky. There was also a lot of overfilling of the nails to get the right shape but both hands still looked quite asymmetrical. I mentioned to her to help me correct the pinky (I had given up on asking for more things, because it felt futile) and she made it more flatter despite me mentioning the oval wasn’t pointed enough. I have been with Ida for nearly two years getting my nails done! I must say it is the highlight of my month, every month. Ida has gone above and beyond with my nails on so many occasions. My baby shower nails where defiantly my favourite with everyone in the salon pitching in to help with my the designs. The salon is a lovely relaxing place, that is very professional, hygienic and punctual as well as being very well priced for money. I get gel polish on my nails and they last amazing all month (and i have a very hands on job). My nails have significantly improved in strength and length since coming to Ida.
