Lidl - Soho Road, Handsworth**

I recently visited the Lidl on Soho Road, Handsworth, and unfortunately, my experience was quite disappointing.

Firstly, the cleanliness was a major issue. I noticed mice eating bakery items behind the shelves, which was shocking and very concerning for a food store. The store was not tidy at all, and there seemed to be a lack of regular cleaning and maintenance.

The customer service was also poor. I personally witnessed a staff member picking up bakery items that had fallen on the floor and putting them back on display, which is unacceptable. When I raised a complaint, it wasn’t taken seriously at all.

Additionally, the self-checkout system was a headache. It kept malfunctioning, causing long queues as it would stop working frequently, which made the whole shopping experience frustrating and time-consuming.

Overall, Lidl at this location needs serious improvements in terms of hygiene, staff training, and its checkout system. I hope these issues are addressed soon for the sake of customer safety and...

This is my local lidl so coming to shop here is something I have to do, I feel like it’s cheaper than other places too. I had a horrible experience the other day where I was at the self serve scanning my items when a staff member began to be rude inconsiderate in front of other customers, I suffer with anxiety and the staff member challenged me about why I bought my full basket at the self serve, I had expressed that I don’t go to normal check outs for personal reasons and he continued to ask why, tell me why?… this was in front of a number of customers, he made me feel very uncomfortable. I told the manager as staff need to be told not to do this to customers as they don’t know their circumstances. Other than that I find lidl a reasonable place, I have noticed a few out of date items and mouldy fruit and veg sometimes but not all… other that it’s a decent...

I usually come here for emergency and budget-friendly shopping, and nothing has been bad until tonight. I got everything that I needed, then I saw this coffee flavoured ice cream to have for dessert so I bought it and placed it on top of my items in my bag. But as soon as I got home I saw that some of my items was covered in a bit of the ice cream, I looked around the packaging and then I saw at the bottom of the container, there lies a small broken part of the container. I quickly scooped out the ice cream into the bowl and thankfully I was able to save most of it. At least the ice cream tasted fine, not the best that I had but it was pretty decent.
