So i wanted to share my experience as i do not want anyone wasting their money. So i booked rouge nails for acrylic nail training. I gave £100 deposit (course cost £200 for 3 days). my first day I go in and she was very very unorganised, nothing was set up. She was faffing around getting stuff together. She taught me for an hour how to prep a nail. she told me a client is coming in so we can practice. Client turns up for her to then start doing her nails leaving me to do nothing. I was confused because i paid for a one on one service and this lady was doing her clients nails whilst i sat there lost. I was clear on what i wanted to learn and already told her that i'm confident with soaking off and in a way she used me to take off another clients nails. That day ended and i didn't want to return because i had a feeling it was going to be a waste of time especially after the first day. my sister encouraged me to go back as she thought it might be different the next day. So i returned and told the lady i wanted to learn how to apply acrylic because thats where i'm weak. Nothing new she was unorganised. It seemed she only has like one or two brushes/acrylic powder and liquid. I found this odd as i'm paying for you to provide basic facilities. I bought my sister along because tara said she would bring someone in and she didn't. i was left to do my sisters nails whilst she was doing a clients. not once did she come over and check or talk me through it. it was a mess. she's a mess. She told me to pick up beads and practice on a paper towel for the rest of the day. thats all i did this day. i left earlier because i was learning nothing. she promised to bring in a client and she couldn't even provide that. She's terribly messy, i've never seen such a messy salon. i won't comment on the decor. i don't know what i expected when the woman can't even keep her salon tidy. i was angry to realised that i wasted money on this. i asked for my deposit back and i told her why i'm not returning to complete it. she was in denial and after pestering her for a month i was given £40 back. if i got it all i would have not left a bad review. but here i am in quarantine learning to do nails at home. i would not recommend at all. save...
Read moreThe absolute ghetto. I went there and was shocked at the place. It was tiny and stunk of strong nail products with no air coming in, unhygienic and an overall disorganised mess - much like the service itself. I only stayed because this was the only time I was able to get my nails done as I have a busy schedule. I booked in early so that I wouldn't be late for work, which she was aware of. She kept insisting we'd have enough time. I ended up waiting 45 minutes past my booking time for her to finish with her last customer. She then rushed my treatment (french tip manicure and pedicure) in 20 minutes! There was NOTHING luxurious about the experience. I expected to have a relaxing soak for my feet, proper shaping of the nails, well-applied polish etc (this is the bare minimum at other salons). However, she rushed to "clean" my cuticle area - by just pushing them in with her own nails! She didn't wash off the nail residue from filing either and my cuticles were left dry and cracked. The filing on both hands and toes were UNEVEN which is very obvious when you have a french tip done. I had to point this out and she still couldn't correct the shape. I was very confused as she told me she had been doing this for over 20 years, so I would have thought she could get a basic shape right. She then rushed the polish as there was another customer waiting even longer than I had - this customer also ended up running very late because of her. She then proceeded to ask me if I could do the top coat myself later on! She also said she won't put any cuticle oil on because it might ruin the polish (due to her rushing and them not having enough time to dry)... she also suggested that I should use the air con in my car to finish drying my nails... I also ended up being late for work despite her cutting corners, so much for a relaxing experience! What a mess! I have never left a bad review anywhere - which just goes to show how...
Read moreI visited Rouge Nails last Sunday after having purchased a coupon from Groupon. Firstly, my appointment was at 2 and I sat waiting until almost 2.30 (with which I would ok if that was the only thing that actually bothered me). I thought - oh, I purchased a coupon so I am paying half the price and the lady wants to make her living and it was a f*cking Sunday. I understand that people have a desire last minute to get their nails done. The lady, Tara, was lovely overall - very friendly and everything and that's the only reason I am giving this a star. Otherwise it would be a 0 or a much more aggressive review. Tara although it was my first time meeting her seemed to me absent minded, like there was something else in her head that day. In this adult world we live in, unfortunately, they are not accepted. Today is the 4th day and half the gels has fallen off my nails, other nails are chipped. What makes me really angry is that I believe she is probably a good nail technician but not a...
