I have to admit that I only leave a review if I either have a very good experience or worst . I am here today after an awful experience yesterday. First they didn’t mention anywhere on their menu if the food was halal. Secondly upon asking the person wearing happy birthday badge shocked and replied “ I am Muslim , I am from pakistan “. That wasn’t my question . I was asking about food not him.Thirdly the £11 special nashta was opposite of special . It was horrible. Served in a plastic tray with three salan and halwa with FROZEN paratha . Really ? A nashta shop which only serve nashta serves frozen parathas . The qeema sat angrily in the first section of the plastic plate growling at me saying “don’t you dare eat me “ . On the second section it was Choley , they looked tired of reheating and freezing . On the third section it was aalu salan. They was old but had some taste left it them. Halwa was drowning in the stale oil . Not to mention , the paper thin corpse of omlette shrouded in paratha completely blown away my appetite. Chicken Sandwiches were arguing with the special nashta , if the parathas would be freshly made they wouldn’t have to force themselves to be served . Special hot chocolate also didn’t know how it feels like to be special . Matka chai was a disappointment. And the one star goes to the loaded fries . They were the only ones seemed happy . Conclusion , never visiting them again and highly disapproval. To satisfy our taste bud had to eat pizza from...
Read moreCould not be more disappointed. Ordered several Halwa Puri and Chana's, as well as parathas and Dal Makhni. I shouldn't say this about food, but the taste was hideous.
The parathas were meant to be fresh, but far from it. Hard and tasteless. The puris and daals/chana were bitter. I don't understand how, as a combination, everything can be so bad?
We went as a family, I've never seen so much food left over. We just couldn't eat it.
We were so disappointed that we cancelled subsequent orders and tried to cancel the teas. We couldn't cancel the tea, but some of us left without drinking it - £2.50 per cup for standard tea by the way.
To add to the above, my brother ordered 2 colas and 2 orange soft drinks (as per menu price of £2 per item). What arrives is 2 fresh orange juices at £4.50 per cup which aren't even on the menu. When challenged they claimed they thought it's fresh orange juices to which we argued we didn't know they even existed.
To add - it was absolutely roasting in there. We were upstairs. There were no fans and no air flow.
A dreadful experience and I made sure to tell the manager/worker who did nothing to make us feel better about our experience.
I don't usually complain, but this was a catastrophe for the family. Experience in...
Read moreOrdered Andaa Paratha £4 - & - Daal Makhani with 2 paratha £4:50 to take away.
Never again. What a major disappointment.
Paaji was pleasant enough to take the order process payment and cook the food (reheat the food). Unfortunately the food was bland & portions ridiculously small and tiny. Like for a baby.
The parathas fit in the palm of my hand and we’re the smallest parathas I’ve get seen and at £1:50 each are hugely over priced. Soo many shops sell proper punjabi sized (at least diner plate sized) parathas for £1:50 all over the midlands this place should be ashamed at ripping people off. They were crisp but very greasy and lacked flavour.
I asked for sunny side up eggs (runny yolk) - I got - boggy eggs - under cooked and slimy. one egg still white and the other the yolk had been popped and hard.
£4 for 1 paratha and 2 fried eggs - in my eyes It’s worth £2.50. Max - if done properly.
The Daal Makhani - such a tiny portion- the pot in which it was served one would normally get chutney or mint sauce in. It wasn’t enough for the 2 tiny paratha !
The taste was quite bitter and it needed more butter and to be better balanced.
Genuinely the worst place to spend your money.
Go else where - like Sangam...
