I am writing to formally lodge a complaint about an extremely distressing experience with an order I placed through JustEat from your Stratford road branch. What was meant to be a simple and satisfying meal turned into a highly stressful and upsetting situation for my entire family.
Here is a summary of the incident: Late Delivery: Despite placing the order on JustEat, the delivery took an unreasonably long time. Ignored Instructions: I specifically requested that the driver call me upon arrival and avoid ringing the doorbell or knocking, as I have young children who were sleeping. This instruction was completely disregarded. Food Dropped on the Ground: When the driver arrived, he dropped my food on the road. Not only did he fail to acknowledge this mistake, but he also lied about it, claiming the food had been properly delivered. Disruption to My Family: The driver’s actions, including ringing the doorbell, woke up my entire household in the middle of the night, causing unnecessary distress. Refusal to Refund: I refused to accept the dropped food, yet the shop and driver refused to refund my money, leaving me without my order and out of pocket.
This experience not only ruined our evening but also left me feeling frustrated and disrespected. I chose to use JustEat to ensure professionalism and accountability, but this situation completely failed those expectations.
I kindly request the following resolutions: A full refund for the order, as the service and delivery were unacceptable. An investigation into the behavior of the driver and the shop’s handling of this incident. Clear measures to prevent such incidents from happening to other customers in the future.
This level of service is far below the standard I expect from Mak Halal, a brand I have trusted in the past. I hope you will address this matter urgently and ensure that your customers are treated with the respect and care they deserve.
I look forward to your response and a resolution...
Read moreFirstly, absolutely nothing will ever allow me to go back. Not free food. Not money off. Nothing. Secondly when me and my husband went in, bin overflowing, crap all over the floor, counters dirty, which is all we are seeing afterrrr placing our food of nearly £35! My husband asked the guy to ‘make it nice’ just a saying he says. The guy goes ‘well sir, I don’t know how it’ll come out, this or this is broken.’ Something along those lines. Okay, never mind moving on, I couldn’t be bothered to wait I’ve gone to the car and my husband decided to tell me this after as he knows I wouldn’t have even tried it. The guy preparing our food, had taken it out of the microwave dipped his finger or knuckle into the food to check the temperature and then shoved it back into the microwave! I almost heaved.
After we had gone through that, paid £35 for: 1- chicken Parmesan (the most expensive one.. which was the ‘only one’ available.) 2 - 2 dipped chicken spicy burgers. (On their own)
1 bite of each, thrown in the bin and I literally made food at home after being ripped off.. I would never even step foot in this establishment again. No compensation, no drink, no free...
Read moreI recently visited Brrgrr Takeaway and had a fantastic experience, thanks to two outstanding staff members. Zeeshan and a lovely girl, who I believe is named Tesha or Nisha, made my visit memorable.
Zeeshan was incredibly friendly and efficient. He took my order with a smile and ensured everything was perfect. His customer service skills are top-notch, making me feel welcome and valued as a customer.
The girl in the black scarf (Tesha or Nisha) went above and beyond by giving me complimentary fries with my burger order. Her kind gesture made my day, and the fries were delicious! Her warm demeanor and attentiveness were much appreciated.
Overall, the excellent service provided by Zeeshan and the girl in the black scarf made my visit to Brrgrr Takeaway exceptional. I’ll definitely be coming back and recommending this place to my...
