After a long journey back from a few days away we were all feeling hungry so we decided to order from here for the first time as we had seen a number of positive reviews. We received some free fortune cookies with our order but I am afraid these turned out to be cookies of miss-fortune.
My partner order salt and pepper chicken box. She said it was not seasoned very well more just a salty taste. The battered chicken along with the chips were a little soggy and the chicken wings were over dry like ones that had been re-warmed from a previous time. Very poor overall.
I ordered salt and pepper chips. They were soggy, and tasted of no seasoning what so ever. They had a few pieces of onions very lightly fried and a few very tiny carrot slivers in with them along with 1 small piece of green pepper They did not taste, look or resemble salt and pepper chips of any kind.
We also had vegetable spring rolls that did not taste right at all. They had a good crisp on the pastry near perfect but, the filling was lacking a range of vegetables, it was just beansprouts that didn't taste fresh and was poorly seasoned with just an off taste of staranese.
We ordered a curry sauce, this was probably the best thing that arrived along with the prawn crackers (I didn't try the prawn crackers myself) however this was a very basic flavoured curry sauce with a hint of chilli heat in the aftertaste. My daughter had fried noodles which were bland and cold but did have a nice colour. Overall very disappointed with this delivery. This is a long way away from a good standard.
I can't make much comment on the service as the order was placed on line. Delivery time and driver were...
Read moreUsed to be our favourite, not anymore. I'm very disappointed. Last time we got takeaway, they messed up with vegetarian singapore Vermicelli big style. I only like green pepper, mushrooms, and eggs with singapore style hot Vermicelli. It was just boiled Vermicelli with eggs, green pepper, and mushroom. Today specifically told them I want all the spices but only mushroom, green pepper, and eggs. Sadly, same again. So bland, I had to add salt and a little red chilli flake, was pre-birthday dinner, and was looking forward to eating my favourite food. I called to ask them if they had changed the recipe or the new chef, and they said no but asked my mobile. That manager will call me. She calls me asking me to send picture, which I did, she said we do not put yellow colour too much, I explained even flavour is not there, she said it is our food and that's what we make. I told her I might have a previous picture, which I can send to compare, which I found from a year ago of my birthday dinner. She says yes, the colour does look different. Thanks for your feedback. What is with this takeaways that they can not keep consistency in food and service, why do they have to spoilt it so badly that you go off...
Read moreHugely disappointing! This is usually our regular Chinese and before today I would have had only great things to say, however not only was the food inedible but the way my complaint was dealt with was ridiculous. We received the food very promptly however the chips where stale and the meat in the special fried rice was chewy, with it being 10:30pm at night and near their closing time I was willing to let it slide but then when eating the spring roll, I ended up also chewing on a long black hair. This put me right off and added to the previously mentioned disappointing quality. When ringing up and speaking to staff, I was interrupted and asked ‘well what do you want us to do?’ At which point I said i would either like a refund or the food to be replaced in the future. They told me the manager will ring me. The manager rang and I was basically treated as if I was lying, that it wasn’t possible for the meat to be chewy or the food to be stale, being very defensive and what I expected to be a quick phone call, turned into a lengthy discussion about how it just couldn’t be true. I was then told that for me to have any refund or replacement I would need to arrange bringing the food back myself to prove I hadn’t eaten it, meaning finding transport and spending more money. I mean if I had eaten it would I really go through all the trouble of being on the phone twice to the takeaway... I really think the customer service should be improved and unfortunately we won’t...
