Genuinely no idea what was going on today in the store. Took some items in to trade, as I had done within the last few weeks. The woman serving us was what can only be described as befuddled. She must have checked each item about 10 times (no, Iām not exaggerating) and typing and re-typing into the system before eventually telling us 20 minutes later that it would be Ā£x cash for 5 items.
5 items. 20 minutes.
Anyway, obviously got told testing would be needed (fair enough) but it wouldnt happen today (fair enough, it was 430pm when we arrivedā¦..). Agreed with the price of voucher which we had to ask for, at which point everything was re-checked and re-submitted to the system. WTAF?!
After this, asked if I was a member - yes, gave details. Asked for ID - actually forgot it but stated that I was happy to bring it in the following day after everything had been tested, even pointed out steelbooks I had traded in the previous time i was in there. Nope. Mumbled something, mumbled some more. Was told cannot accept items. What I donāt get is that whilst we were standing there watching her check the earbuds for the 16th time, people next to us were selling for stuff for cash who werenāt members and had no ID but were told ādonāt worry about itā.
No interaction between any of the staff. Each one looked like they didnāt want to be there and each one looked like they didnāt like everyone else.

I had arrived at the store to purchase a PS4 pad, upon arrival a had laid my electric bike against the a wall in CEX and not outside due to the fact I would not want it to be stolen. A gentleman greeted me and let me know the prices of the pads. I had then left and returned with the money but ubruptly spoken to as if I was not a member or a customer by a employee named (KIM). Without a greeting rudly stated I must remove my bike from the shop, I replied "I cannot as it is quite an expensive bike and I would not want it getting stolen and i have never had this problem before. Kim then went on to stay quite arrogantly " well im not going to serve you unless you bring it outside" thats when a gentleman who was purchasing from the shop agreed to wait with my bike outside which i though was very helpul. For a customer to offer to do this before an employee even thought about an option to help me as a customer I think is quite unprofessional. But what do I know this must be the culture CEX is teaching when training their staff !!! I will most likely not return to this CEX as customer service is a deal breaker for me and I refuse to hand my money over to a company who can hire such staff !!! 1 STAR FROM ME...

Screen was perfect and had no damage . 2 members of staff looked over my macbook and gave me a price that they would sell it for. Made a deal . Had a phone call which the member of staff told me they couldnāt give me my money and to collect my macbook as there is a dent and scratch on the screen. HOWEVER 2 MEMBERS OF STAFF HAD ALREADY CHECKED THE SCREEN AND IT WAS CLEAR. Prior to this i cleaned my macbook and didnāt notice ANY OF THIS . This had happened after i had handed it in as i know it was in perfect condition. This is disgusting and i will not be letting this slide. 1 member of staff agreed with me when i said that the scratch on the screen is unmissable whereas their colleague disagreed. This is so unprofessional and this company needs to be shut down. Will be taking this...
