This restaurant has become a firm favourite for me and my 2 kids we love to come here for a meal. The service is always brilliant, the staff are attentive but don't rush you, we take a while to decide what we want sometimes because the food and drink options are often so tempting and good selection of choices it's hard to decide, whatever we order we thoroughly enjoy and have not had a bad experience ever. They bend over backwards to make it special and enjoyable, I visited for my Birthday yesterday and the Morello Cherry Sour cocktail I had was lush, as was the Rose Pinot Grigio Blush wine, my main was amazing Casareccia pesto rosso, and the Tiramisu for dessert was outstanding, My youngest daughter ate every piece of her Classic Margherita pizza and her Chocolate Brownie Sundae! My eldest had the chicken and prosciutto salad and all our food was tasty and fresh, we didn't have to wait long which is always good as my youngest is Autistic and struggles with waiting sometimes, also like the different options for seating we choose a booth if available and it was, I like the fact it is quiet so you can chat but also has some ambience so doesn't feel too silent when not many in. All the staff who served us were lovely, tables cleared tables. Staff are friendly and helpful, nothing is too much trouble, Emma in particular is a star, helping me with redeeming perks in the app. I can't rate you highly enough.Thank you to all the staff, we will be...
Read moreI fell into this oasis of calm and culinary delight after a hectic day at the Bradford Literature Festival and badly needing rest and refreshment. It did not disappoint. The restaurant has a tucked-away feel about it, despite being in the city centre shopping area, and is pleasantly different from the plethora of fast food outlets. You could book here for a special meal out, but I just dropped in early without having booked. The decor is simple outdoor-indoor, with just a slightly rustic feel, very clean and quite spacious for somewhere that is not huge. It has an intimate, private feel about it. The staff were amazing! (Special thanks to Laura, who put up with all my questions and chatter.) Lovely friendly, patient, helpful and cheerful service throughout. That alone will make me return very soon. (PS I already have!) The food I had was absolutely fine throughout. Free nibbles were first brought in a bowl, while my pizza was being prepared. (Margherita, with artichokes! I try to eat vegan/veggie as much as possible. Zizzi does cater for gluten-free diets as well.) Because I have a singular sweet tooth, I ordered a Twisted Affogato for dessert. 3 x vanilla ice cream, amaretti biscuits, a shot of Aluna coffee liqueur and an espresso included. The liqueur was so lovely, I ordered another to accompany my coffee, which I upgraded to a latte. So it's an all-round heartfelt recommendation...
Read moreWe have been to this branch of Zizzis 3 times now. Twice for family birthdays and once just as a treat out.
Each time we have had excellent service and really tasty food.
This evening, for example, our family had 2 kids meals, 2 adults starters, mains and desserts. All 3 courses were delivered in good time and were well prepared with good portion sizes.
I had a starter fondue with fresh little rolls which was delicious. The calzone for the main course was freshly made (not a fan of mushrooms that were in the original recipe, but it was no issue to take them out) and piping hot. Just like the starter it was very tasty.
Dessert was the cherry on top, with a Black Forest Fondant to finish it all off. Really lovely ice cream with this and it was perfect to complete the meal.
Watching the staff in the kitchen, they did great prep work and got all food up within a minute or so of each of the other order dishes. The service team of Emma, Jade and Aruana were all brilliant (shout out to Emma who's served us both times before that and is absolutely superb at her job), quick and efficient.
Zizzis isn't the cheapest place to eat, but the quality is excellent and we'll be going back again. You don't feel rushed and it's a...
