Watched the cougars games against Doncaster and Workington which was my first taste of rugby league as only just moved to the area form the 'rugby Union dominated south' and thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience,both games were exciting affairs with cougars winning a close game on each occasion found it very good value for money with a friendly but superb atmosphere unlike rugby union which tended attract a more corporate rype of crowd, the stadium is of a decent standard with a covered stands, and both covered and open terraces, couldn't see any car Parking ground although there is free parking in the park...
Read moreNBeen supporting the club for 25 years. It was on the demise. Now the right people own it and it's on the way back up. Amazing atmosphere. All the facilities are been renovated. Shame they dont have a burger van. So all that is available is pies on match days. And struggle to get a soft drink bar been so busy. And only selling bottled beer outside or tea or coffee...which is nice when cold. Had to que to get in..not using all the turn styles to full potential. Read moreGreat ground - except we lost to Keighley. But they had no Tetley Bitter beer (it was bar in Yorkshire without Yorkshire bitter!) as they are changing brews. And no regular cider.. just fruity pop. We could not find any hot drinks... so settled for Coke and Coors. And it was Proper COLD! We had t laugh! They can only sell what they have. But toilets were clean, staff polite, just look forward to a sumer visit when they will have warm beer and hot...
