Brislington Park & Ride — Local services in Bristol

Found this little beauty tucked away in a corner all on its lonesome!

OK, so we weren't looking for a park and ride, just somewhere to charge the car. ZapMap pointed us in this direction and the charger almost seemed a bit forgotten about. There are three there 2 x Type Chargers and the Rapid Charger. No one was using any of them.

The park and ride was free to park, the sign did say that this was as long as you purchase a bus ticket so as we couldn't see any other way to pay to park and there were lots of cameras we brought a bus ticket - just to be on the safe side.

The CCS charger worked perfectly, a short walk to a McDonalds provided the required comfort break and refreshments.

Even if it was busy, the £10 charge for staying longer than 90 minutes would have meant that there wouldn't have been much of a wait.

As for the park and ride - it was a big car park and whilst we were there some buses turned up! We bought the ticket...

Used it a couple of times, not exactly central and you can't walk back if something goes wrong on Sunday, l was at the Hippodrome and the arrival board said the number 9 was going to arrive 18.07 never happened, so l gave it another 30 minutes as l was sure l read 19.30 was the last bus, must have got it wrong, l asked the driver when l got on the bus and he hardly spoke English and I should have asked what time do you finish might have stood a better chance. So by 19.00 l was in panic mode, l am 70 and couldn't walk back, so l found a friendly Blue Taxi driver and he told me it's going to cost me £15 cash, it's all that l had but l just had to go with it, l was in an impossible situation, next time l will park in Central Bristol and pay the car park fee, so at least l am in control of...

Really bad service since taken over by stage coach. When coming back from town mydaughter and i were waiting at haymarket bus stop as soon as i seen the bus come round the corner i waved it down. Then boarded the bus and the driver was incredibly rude and said i didn't wave the bus down soon enough and she almost didn't stop I then said oh sorryi thought the bus was supposed to stop at designated bus stop she then said no that isnt how it works. Children used to be free with a paying adult. The first buses were far better and stops were called out. The car park is now pitch black no lights on this evening. I used to use this service regularly but this is a service i will hardly use now such a shame how this has now turned out. Glad i no longer have to commute daily into the centre....
