Thoroughly enjoyable hour spent with Martin and his garden. I’m so impressed by anyone that opens their garden, after all the public can be hideous! But everyone was genuinely impressed by the garden. The hour was run really well, we were given a table number and asked our beverage preferences before slowly walking around the garden. It’s not a huge space, an average suburban size, but absolutely packed to the rafters with clever design. 20 minutes later we found our spot along with tea and homemade scones with clotted cream and jam. Perfect! Martin has a raft of Bonsai and paraphernalia for sale at really seasonable prices. We’ll definitely be back.

My daughter and myself have just been to visit the Japanese Garden on a Spring walk. Martin was warm, friendly, engaging and very knowledgeable. The garden is absolutely beautiful and the attention to detail is second to none. Martin even gave me some photography tips, as he even prunes his Acer with photo opportunities in mind! We have been wanting to book for ages and we are so glad that we did. We will definitely be back for a Cream Tea and the Autumn walk later this year. Thank you so much to Martin for allowing us into his lovely garden and your hospitality was much appreciated 😀

Excellent visit extremely well hosted by Martin. The garden gives you the feeling of being in a Japanese village. So many sitting area giving numerous viewing points. So many ideas for my own garden and a building to be built overlooking my koi pond. Well worth a visit. We shall return.
