I bought a bed from this company and learned a very valuable lesson. The bed itself is fine, a bit pricey for the quality but after all it was my choice.
The one star is for the very poor treatment I got. When I bought the bed I mentioned to the seller, Dave that my stairs might not fit the bed and gave him the dimensions. The seller told me not to worry about it (I was told he had 6 years experience). When the bed arrived the delivery guys could not initially fit it. I asked for a refund and this is where it begun.
BEWARE! Once you give them the money YOU WILL NOT SEE YOUR MONEY BACK. Under the pretence of "making everybody happy" they refused to refund and did not have a solution that would offer us the same storage space as we initially desired. I took time off from work to go and speak with them personally and I met Zach, the owner's son who STUFFED TERMS AND CONDITIONS IN MY FACE and told me that legally they can get away without a refund. I asked to speak with a manager and he told me that the manager is his father and he happens to be on vacation for more than a week thus nothing can be done. He was actually smiling in my face telling me this.
Luckily the delivery guys came up with an ingenious solution and came back and managed to fit the bed, but if that would not have happened I would have been TRAPPED to pick a smaller bed I did not want to get.
I must add that I have ordered full bedroom furniture from a different company and when it did not fit there was absolutely no problem getting the refund, so the practice of locking the buyer in is only practised by the dirty.
Somerset Beds and Mattresses is family business ran without compunction having no respect for the client.

I have to admit we went to another larger company first before the recommendation and the staff there just pounced on us, even though we said we wanted to just browse. I guess they work on commission hence their eagerness which is understandable, however they would not leave us alone and i had to be quite rude in the end. This is why we went to Somerset beds thank goodness. We were greeted by Zach at the Bristol branch. He was just happy to let us pick a few beds that interested us and then answered all of the questions we had. He really did know his stuff and gave us great advice. We decided on matress, endlift ottoman bed and pegasus headboard and were told delivery would be in 3-4 weeks. After two weeks we were contacted and told us the bed was ready. We agreed a delivery date, the delivery men came yesterday and were very helpful and quick. They took all the packaging away and left no mess at all, they even took the time to tell me how to take the bed apart should we ever want to move it to another room. We had our first sleep in it last night and i have to say it was the most comfortable sleep i have had in a long while. Many thanks again to Zach and Ollie. I expressed my concerns of my staircase not being big enough when buying the bed, and I was told not to worry about it. I even paid in full, because I was very uninspired (DON'T MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE). When they tried to get the bed up the stairs and failed they said they will find a solution that would make everyone happy, and refused to listen when I kept telling them their alternatives don't make me happy and I just want a refund. Also, there was a tendency from them to blame each other and come up with ludicrous excuses like "dfs would have just left your furniture in the driveway" which I found highly unprofessional. You can get beds for better prices from stores that hold the customer to a higher regard. Thanks again to the delivery guys, I'm sorry you're getting associated with this name.
