Willow Curry Bar — Local services in Bristol

If I could give a review without stars, I would! We've been using The Willow for over 15 years without any complaints. The food was always fantastic to the point that we'd never use a different Chinese takeaway as they simply couldn't measure up to James'. Compared to other takeaway outlets, the prices were quite steep but we never minded paying as all the food was excellent. Tonight however, I was shocked at how bad it's become without James at the helm. Chicken chow mein was ice cold, chips were overcooked, curry sauce was lukewarm and conjealed, sweet & sour sauce was watery & runny, chicken balls were the worst though. Grey, chewy 'chicken ' that tasted odd!! Never again will we use or recommend...

Friendly service. This place has both a fish&chips menu and a Chinese takeaway menu, so can assist you regardless of which one you fancy. I haven't tried the Chinese food yet but the chips are perfectly respectable chip-shop chips. The pie is bad though - tiny bits of potato and mincemeat that give you the vibe they just threw into it whatever they couldn't cook into anything else. 3/5, would come back again if I want a pretty cheap takeaway; you get what...

Unfortunately this is second time have had take away spare ribs ; first time they were cold and once again this evening Friday 7th April they were not hot they were slightly warm.
