Friendchips — Local services in Bristol

What can I say this place is amazing, the wife and me at the last minute decided we fancied chip shop for tea. We get there just before closing I asked for fish to be told it's cooked fresh to order and was too late, I said After being told its the best around I was looking forward to some the girls said sorry about that. then one came out and said there wasn't any batter or she would have done me a piece, So I order us a few pies and chips and was about to pay with my card, only to be told it's cash only (my fault should've checked first before going). So I tried Tesco next door no cash machine no cash back. I go back and said I'm really sorry I can't get no cash, to be told take it for free I hope you'll be back. Well 1, on behalf of me and my wife thank you so much and may you be blessed with great things and happiness. 2, We will definitely be back and hopefully more people who read this post. I came all the way from Birmingham and got lost as my other half gave me the wrong directions, i then came across Friendchips and i thought to pop in and ask for directions, upon entering the business i was warmly greeted by the friendly brown staff, feeling lost and embassed my stomach did rumble, i did notice the tesco acorss the road but this shop felt like it was calling me, so i purchased a large fish and chips for myself while my partner stayed in the car, the quality of the food was equal to the level of service i received. I stayed in the shop and continued to eat and when i left the business i forgot to ask them for directions so it gave me and excuse to go back and eat again. I have been coming here for years (since before it was a fish n Chip shop in fact). The food is great and reasonably priced. The staff are always fabulously friendly and very helpful. More than just people who work in a service industry, Rami? the proprietor always seems to manage to employ genuinely lovely people for staff. In recent years I can definitely mention Casey, Sammy, Lauren, Lily, Edie and Orla as well as Rami herself. In the very rare circumstances there is a problem, it is always sorted straight away.
