We placed an order for delivery, and got the fried pork udon noodles, which my boyfriend really liked however I thought they were a bit greasy and didn't have much pork. Then the crispy beef in chilli sauce, the beef to batter ratio was a bit heavy on the batter side, I couldn't really taste the beef. However, the salt and pepper chicken, and the sweet and sour chicken, were both brilliant! We also had the duck pancakes, the plum sauce was a bit milder than I'd like but my boyfriend preferred it this way so again just personal preference.

When ordering, the person that I spoke to didn't seem to be thrilled to be speaking to me, not the best telephone manner, but I do understand working in hospitality can be tough. He'd said 40-50 minutes, we were surprised when the doorbell rung after about 20 mins! So, very quick delivery for a Sunday night. Tried Xing Long out tonight for the first time. The lady who took my order over the phone couldn't find my address but persisted and was friendly and patient. The food was lovely, each dish actually tasted different which I find some Chinese takeaways fail to deliver on. The Szechuan pork was really tasty, crispy beef actually crispy and spicy and rice tasted fresh and moist. We had the food delivered and arrived within the 45 minutes I was advised it would be. The lady who delivered the food had some struggles finding our house but when she did she was extremely polite and friendly. Spare ribs with chilli and garlic. They were really nice - lots of meat on the ribs and very tender. Couldn't detect any fat or gristle at all.

Chicken with ginger and spring onion. Absolutely delicious with a massive ginger punch! The chicken is really tender and the dish is one I would always order.

Green lipped mussels with ginger and spring onion. Amazing and great value for money. The mussels are HUGE and succulent.

House special fried rice. Delicious. The best fried rice I have had anywhere.

Finally, the staff are friendly and efficient, which makes Xing Long the best Chinese take-away in the Bishopston area. ...
