Really liked it here. I was impressed as soon as I walked in. This place is huge! Bigger than I would’ve thought. The outdoor area looked nice too. Warm and welcoming vibes. Amazing menu choices (so amazing it was very difficult to choose - everything sounds so good). The only thing that let it down for me was the ordering process. Ordering by QR code is all good but it would be better if it was possible to make adjustments to a meal - ie specify how you like your eggs cook - this way. After struggling to find out how to do this, I had to go ask for help. In the end I was told to go order at the till, vs my sister who was able to order from the table. That hiccup aside, I really liked it here and want to go back. Next time I order something that doesn’t have any amendments!

I went to this branch to visit as I went to have some lunch with my family I did not mind the new approach with the online order but was not impressed after my order went through that I had to wait 35 minutes for food as due to staff shortage I spent so much money in there and was told this after I had placed my order one of my family members was on a lunch break so had restricted time but had to wait for his food the coffee was well presented but tasted bland & was cold with no flavour considering I ordered caramel syrup with the order it did not taste like a caramel latte I have made better coffee at home than this. The food was well presented but did not represent the price I paid for it if it is my choice I wouldn’t come here again.

Today my close friend took me to Boston Tea Party for the very first time and I was so extremely pleased with what I have experienced. I was immediately taken aback with the brilliant organisation of the team. Despite an extremely large and bustling seating area we were sat near immediately and are food and drink came impressively quickly. My friend recommended the iced coffee with avocado which I was initially hesitant about but would now say is a must try!! All round extremely please with my experience here and will definitely be returning. Pictured Below: my friends mango lassi and eggs Benedict (iced coffee didn’t last long enough to be documented!!!).

Arrived with our baby for breakfast at around 10am on a Monday morning. Not sure what happened but it was a disaster zone. There were tables everywhere strewn with the leftovers from previous customers and the floor had also not escaped.

Not only that but this cafe seems to gradually be getting grubbier and grubbier. Our table was sticky as were the ones next to us, clearly they just get a wipe over but once a day or so they need a proper soap and hot water clean off as do some of the decorative doors on the walls some of which have coffee or food splash stains on them. I don't mind the whole shabby decor thing, but you can't let the cleanliness go that way.

I ordered our food which actually came within reasonable time and was warm (hence the 2 stars), but my coffee was overly bitter so I went to the front counter and explained this to the guy at the coffee machine. He said he'd replace it but I asked him if someone could bring it to the table as we were eating, so I gave my table number. I don't want to sound too critical but he just didn't seem switched on to say 'sorry your coffee was bitter' or even 'don't worry let me look into it for you'. It was fairly busy but not that busy.

I went back to our table and in the meantime some other customers had arrived. The chap was clearly not happy at the state of the tables he said it was shocking but seemed typical of many cafe's these days. I only saw one lone member of staff in this back section but it was his first day and clearly he'd been chucked in the deep end.

After waiting 20mins and no coffee arriving we needed to leave so I went to the counter to sort it out but ended up queuing for a further 15mins. In my mind I kept thinking why am I queueing for a refund of a coffee just leave and take it on the chin, but I felt that wasn't the right thing to do. Other customers who were waiting decided to leave but there seemed no appreciation of this by the staff.

When I eventually got to the till I explained to the lady and she checked with the coffee guy I had returned my coffee to. He shrugged and said they'd made a coffee but couldn't find my table. I explained that I had clearly given my table number but that they could have asked around or him described me to the person bringing the coffee.

At this point the first lady stepped in and said that's ok we'll get the coffee for you to take away. That may have been her way of trying to resolve it but it would have been nice for her to ask me. Again, there was no apology or real interest that I'd been inconvenienced. I said I would just prefer it refunded as I had wanted the coffee with my meal with my wife. They sorted it out for me but it would have been nice to have had a simple but more heartfelt comment from them. It just seemed really chaotic and the staff didn't seem that on the ball.

We all have bad days, but this seemed like more than just that. The place needs a good clean up for sure. Food was decent, but we were let down with...

We went for breakfast on a Sunday morning. We were warned that breakfast would be half an hour, but were fine with that and sat down. I wanted a Full English breakfast, but didn’t want the black pudding or mushrooms and couldn’t swap them for something else on the app. I went up to order and, despite there being lots of staff, was asked why I couldn’t order on the app. Despite there being a reason, I don’t expect to be questioned for wanting to speak to someone. Regardless, I ordered and asked to swap the items for “literally anything”; I was told I couldn’t on a weekend. I’m not going to pay £14 for a breakfast only to leave half of it, especially after waiting 30 minutes for it. I ended up ordering something I didn’t want and an Americano with “two milks”.

When the coffee came, lots of it had been spilt, it was really week and didn’t come with any milk. I again asked if it’d be okay for “two milks”. She said yes, although wasn’t particularly pleasant about it, and brought back one. I gave up and went to get another myself.

When our food came, the bap is ordered came with a fried egg, rather than a poached egg. That isn’t a big deal, but I was frustrated at this point. Twice the guy who brought the food asked if everything was okay - I said it was “alright”, which it was, but he never pressed me on this, showing that asking is just a formality. Mid-meal we were also asked to fill in a review by the lady who ensured I didn’t get the breakfast I wanted; I’m assuming she was the manager. Probably leave this until after the meal, especially if the service has been poor. If she didn’t know the service was poor, she needs to keep a closer eye on things.

I’ve worked in busy bars and restaurants and can empathise. But… you’re not cheap and your customer service should reflect that, especially with so many staff working. What I wanted wasn’t complex - to swap two items just like you can do during the week (they are chefs after all?) and to have a normal coffee with milk. I was unimpressed with everything about this visit and felt like it was a waste of money. Whilst the lady who I believe was the manager was a large part of the issue, she should really look at making the experience...

Unfortunately today I had a very bad experiences in BTP on Gloucester Road! It was my second time, and the first time the service was fine but today it was zero! The moment I entered the shop I was greeted by one of the waiters which was nice and she asked me to come to one of the cashier to make my order! While I was going to the cashier a costumer walked back in the shop and asked her to change an order, the waiters without acknowledging me right away did what the costumer asked and almost took 5 minutes, then I walked up to another cashier and one of their staff another waiters she asked me that I have to queue up again! I told her that I was already first and she didn’t service me so I come up here to get serviced and without any gesture or hesitation she told me that I have to go back in the queue which was rude and unprofessional absolutely!I was more disappointed when she ( the waitress ) noticed I’m walking out and she didn’t even care more or less! So zero zero zero zero zero ( 00000) 5 zeros for the costumer services and very...
