Went to Avana Lounge and honestly, from the moment I stepped through the door, I knew it was going to be a waste of time. The woman working there looked at me like I’d walked into the wrong place, completely confused, borderline irritated, as if I was bothering her just by showing up. If that’s your reaction to a potential customer, maybe you’re in the wrong line of work.
Before I could even sit down, she tells me there’s no food available because the oven hasn’t been turned on yet. Are you serious? Why are you even open if your kitchen isn’t ready? What kind of so-called lounge opens its doors with zero preparation? It’s basic common sense. Prep your kitchen before opening hours. No one wants to walk in and be told they can’t order anything because you're still waking up.
I didn’t stick around. Just turned around and left. I’m seeing a trend lately with these Gloucester Road food spots. One disaster after another. Just like Dosa Queen, another joke of a place that had no clue how to run a restaurant. Read moreI visited this lounge a few times, the staff and owner are very friendly , and recently they have had a refurbishment in the lounge which looks brand new and luxurious! Love the atmosphere there but the only criticism I would have is the quality of their SHISHA.
Having ordered a few times the shisha quality is inconsistent as there are times I went where it came out fine but other times when I couldn’t taste the flavour at all. I would ask the owner and staff to look into this as it’s the only thing that lets them down, as quality of the smoke , which is the real reason most people go to shisha lounges needs to be good. I truly believe if the shisha can improve and the quality to be consistent , this could be one of the best shisha lounge in Bristol.

I called him 4 times for booking a birthday table and he's told me that everything was ready for booking the table.
