Canvey seafront. Yes first timer here. We went for a day to enjoy the sun and hoping to eat fish and chips. it’s an hour drive from london. We went on a Saturday and it was not busy so far so good. There’s parking area both sides and one of them which is near to Jimmy’s mac restaurant has a toilet and parking fee are not bad. First impression of the seafront not bad, if you want to walk along the seafront or walk your dog and enjoy the breeze is good. There’s a plenty of benches you can sit and relax, enjoy the sun watch boats passes by and you’ll just realise time was so quick. Again this is not a beach but I saw people are dipping swimming and even my son went to have a go and he enjoyed it! Just to mention there’s sea weeds along the seafront but it doesn’t bother me. There’s a tiny spot you’re kids can play with the sand but when high tide comes the sand is gone. My advise is bring towel and extra clothes just incase you get tempted of the water. The proper beach is 8 mins walk from the sea front you’ll find Thorney bay beach never been there but I leave it to you to explore. Also as a bonus points a funfair and arcade can be seen in the area. We didn’t get the fish and chips and I’m disappointed. The reason was my kids wants to eat a burger. We were at Brunos fish and chips and change of plans. I might come back again to this place as I need to explore more. The area has a nice spot not far from London. I recommend Canvey seafront to My friends. P.S. try to learn the tide times. When it’s low tide a bit of sand is visible and kids can play and if it’s high tide...
Read moreI actually call this my happy place. I sit in one of the many benches and breathe in the sea air. ( Actually the Thames ) I find is relaxing. The car park is so reasonable In price, plenty of spaces. The amusements for small children is good. People call it dated on some review. But the families don't pay out a lot & plenty of fun things to do with small children. The little kiosk selling ice cream the staff are lovely. Very good value & clean. The seafront space had plenty of seats & little beach area is popular. I prefer it to Southend as it more for families and locals. It worth going on sunny day to sit & just rewind. It also a sun trap so caught the colour last week. A lovely place to spend a few hours but don't tell to many people just keep it how it...
