Have been here many times over the years and love the breakfasts, we had lunch here today, I had the burger meal that seemed very Greasy and without much flavour (but that is my opinion) my wife had chicken thigh meal, she said it didn't taste nice and that chicken was slimy, I looked and agreed and food was taken back to the kitchen, with an apology, the manager came to our table and politly explained that this is how meal should look and assured us that it had been prepared correctly, and i have no reason to dissbelieve him but, it didn't look very appetising. I am then reluctantly told I could have one of the tall bar tables near the door, which I said was fine. I go towards the table but get stopped and given a paper menu. I'm told to have a look and to make sure I check the prices!!! Unbelievably dire attitude, so decided to walk out and not spend my money there. I would give a zero star rating...
Read moreThis is a lovely cafe in an excellent location. An ideal place to come before or after a walk along the seawall.
The menu is surprisingly varied and enticing for a cafe. It's not just your usual breakfast choices. They have a lunch menu, Sunday roasts, and it seemed that there were specials on offer, too!
We enjoyed a table for two overlooking the Thames and didn't have to wait long at all for service and food to arrive! Our waiter was great, and the food was excellent. We were lucky to be there on such a sunny morning, enjoying the views and warming sunshine.
Highly recommend, and I look forward to our next walk...
