Finally got to recce this place at lunchtime ahead of a proper visit hopefully within the next month or so. Curiosity satisfied. Delivers on everything promised. Really friendly and welcoming staff at both food kiosk and in main bar area, couldn't fault. Knew their stuff on their beers which you'd expect but all done in a way they never lose sight of whose experience is important: the customer. Very helpful in offering choices to experience several of the beers on offer. If I had to be critical it'd only be that they did not appear to do the flight glasses like you get at some places, especially in America but they offered the next best thing in third-pint glasses so we shared four of these between the two of us. Food excellent, enjoyed the burgers and will look forward to sampling the pizzas another time (not available lunchtime). Plenty of room both in open air and under cover, I'm looking forward to another visit later in the day when the lights strung across the place will provide added atmosphere. Really recommend this place. If you like your beers this is an absolute treat and a really...

Excellent in every way. Support local businesses in a fabulous area of heritage & beauty. Enjoy a drink here with a splendid view. Proper beer, porter, stout, pale ale, IPA etc, different seasonal flavours every week with some favorites & also alcohol free brews. On tap to drink here on the farm or in cans to take away. Beer brewed by the family of farmers & served onsite! Traditional values with modern flourish. Ales named after local sayings like "Never Known Fog Like It ! " Onsite Glamping if you want to stay overnight. Excellent in every way. Support local businesses in a fabulous area of heritage & beauty. Enjoy a drink here with a splendid view. Visited this brewery thinking we’d stumbled upon a hidden gem turns out we found a case study in everything that’s wrong with modern Britain. Ā£14 for two beers (nothing remarkable) and another Ā£14 for a pizza the size of a side plate. That’s Ā£28 for the privilege of pretending you’re having a good time while being politely robbed in broad daylight.

It’s got all the usual hallmarks: exposed brick, fairy lights, and a queue of people convincing themselves this is ā€œthe lifeā€ as they sip overpriced foam and nibble on miniature snacks. A lovely setting, sure if only it came with prices from this planet.

If you enjoy paying premium prices for mediocrity wrapped in hipster aesthetics, you’ll love it here. As for me, I left hungrier and angrier than when I arrived. Peak Rip...

Definitely one of the best taprooms I’ve been to. Stunning views of the surrounding area and Rivington Pike. Great range of amazing beers with options on cask and keg and cans in the fridge too. Staff were very friendly and great with giving recommendations. Also had the pizza from Char which was delicious. Would love to visit here again at some point. For anyone relying on public transport you can get the train to Adlington and then it’s a 30ish minute walk, following the public footpath off Greenhalgh Lane. Or for anyone who fancies a walk you can get the bus to Horwich, head up to the Pike, explore through the gardens, and then head down into Rivington and over the bridge before finishing at the brewery for a deserved pint.
