Upper Rivington Reservoir — Local services in Chorley

Lovely place to take children and dogs for a walk. There are some benches but definitely needs more bins! Some of the paths are not pram or wheelchair friendly but if you stick to the main public footpaths they are. Lovely walk around Upper and Lower Rivington reservoirs. Saw a heron catching more fish than the fishing event taking place on the Upper reservoir. Priceless! Beautiful bleeding bluebells (Keith) and cottonball clouds. Finished walk at the excellent Great barn tea rooms with sit down waitress service in/outside for a late afternoon lunch/early tea....
