Edinburgh Nine Apartments — Local services in City of Edinburgh

We had a fantastic stay in this apartment. It was impeccably clean and very comfortable and the location is absolutely perfect. Sat behind the castle and a very short walk around the corner to the Lyceum Theatre and the West End with an abundance of fantastic bars and restaurants, we feel like we discovered a real treasure with this apartment.

Having decided to stay an extra night in Edinburgh on a whim, we had emailed the property owners who were wonderfully responsive, helpful and allowed us early check in as the original place we had stayed had no availability.

We truly wish we had stayed the whole time in this apartment. So much so, I have recommended this to my sister and brother-in-law who will be visiting Edinburgh in early April for their 25th wedding anniversary. A nice, well set up apartment in good walking distance of the castle and Royal Mile. Unfortunately, the walls between apartments are paper thin so the party in the room nextdoor was just as loud in my room. Also, all the doors slam and the hallway is very echoey leading to lots of noise when people come and go.

So fairly good if you get good neighbours but for me getting up at 6am it was a rubbish night's sleep and I wouldn't risk going back.

EDIT: I've been contacted by the owner who apologised and will be talking to the other residents. Shows he cares...

Our favorite place to stay when in Edinburgh. The location is ideal, very quiet yet close to Old Town, Grassmarket and Haymarket. The double only apartment is clean and spacious. The kitchen is fully equipped, there's a lovely sofa, the bath room is modern. The bed is quite comfortable. The view of the internal garden area from the kitchen is wonderful, calming.
