Loch Fyne Whiskies — Local services in City of Edinburgh

I was about to pay for a Springbank 10, and double checked with the tall big guy in the shop: "You dont have any 15 or 12?"

He suddenly became really rude and said in anger: "I already heard that question from you, and I already told you. I get offended when people ask me that question, like I lie to them."

I think maybe it was because he recommended me a bottle of Loch Fyne and I didnt want it.

For comparison, the shops next door just politely told me "we ran out of Springbank in a few hours", or "if you walk another 15 mins to Cadenhead, they might have some bottles"

So I replie: "You know what, forget it. I dont want that bottle...

Went in with hopes to find a specific edition of Caol Ila and was met with an abusive and confrontational salesman who discriminated to levels I didn't think existed in today's society.

Utterly the worst customer experience I have experienced in Edinburgh and shameful to think the incredibly rude staff are representing any whisky.

I have blended and bottled whisky for many distillers in Scotland, they would all be disgusted at your elitist and bigoted actions.

Matt did a fantastic job of walking me through the various options to fit my taste. Ended up having a few samples and deviating from my initial selection. He was able to get into the differences between bourbon and sherry casks, the history of Loch Fyne and Hunter Laing, and the reasoning behind peatiness, colouration, age labelling, and casking.
