Mint Indian — Local services in City of Edinburgh

There are almost no words to describe how good this food was. Usually we don’t review on the same day to let opinions settle, but as we are sitting in front of empty plates, still warm from the curry they held, there is no other option but to write this review.

This was the best curry we have EVER had - and we had a good few currys between us. We ordered the Butter Chicken and Chicken Korma, with Naan bread and Pilau rice. The flavours are so intense it brought one of us to the verge of tears of happiness. The chicken is tender and not chewy at all and there is plenty of chicken in one portion. The sauce is out of this world and we don’t even want to drink anything as it would cause the aftertaste to disappear. This is good beyond good. If only it wasn’t all eaten yet...

We also got a free poppadom and a dip. The naan has a decent size and great fluffiness.

The man who delivered it was very nice and even knew that it was our first order (but we promise it was definitely not our last).

We wish the Mint team continued success and happiness as we never want them to leave our delivery radius. Thank you for letting us experience this. Apologies for this very emotional review but this place deserves every praise...

Wish places would take allergens seriously! My partner went to order from here and enquired about 3 items for allergens. It specified on the menu that the specific allergen wasn't present in the food we were ordering but we wanted to phone and double check. Turns out the allergens were in the meals! Glad we phoned and double checked as this would have made my partner very unwell. And to top it off the guy on the phone was rude and hung up whilst we were enquiring about the allergens. Rude staff, bad customer...

It’s very disappointing to find what appears to be fake bad reviews of Mint, made almost certainly by a rival business. I am a regular customer and I have also seen the kitchen operation at first hand. Jay works incredibly hard and his success is based on lots of very happy customers and repeat business. False allegations can be very damaging and I would urge the perpetrator to remove the post concerned along with other fake reviews of Indian takeaways...
