Usually excellent service and normally a great experience, a good selection of commercial and independent beers.

Today was some thing of an exception, ventured in on my own for first time, ordered a pilsner, soon as poured and passed over I stated it looked flat and had zero bubbles in the glass there was no head keeper. Was told am sure it will be fine.

Few sips in a weak fizz, but its not great or the usual, and don't feel I can go back now I've taken a chance on it!

Food wise normally ordered burgers have always been excellent if you are looking for a burger! Really enjoyed the skinny fries. Best to book on a weekend but staff will always try...

Had a lovely time at this bar, which is nicely located (about a 10-min walk from the sandy Portobello beach) : very diverse beers on tap and a helpful staff to help us navigate the drinks menu ! I recommend trying Tiny Rebel's "Pump Up The Jam", which is a delicious sweet yet tangey Pale Ale. And don't pass on the Jones and Son Burgers & BBQ which are just what is needed after a long day on the seaside ! Have eaten here before and had a great burger. The menu has since changed and the burgers are not as tasty. The burger buns were really cold and my partner felt his might even have still been frozen on the bottom. Good selection of ales but rather pricey for out of town drinking. Do have a burger and pint deal Monday to Wednesday but as mentioned the burgers are not what they used to be. Unlikely to return to eat.
