Not What We Expected – A Disappointing Pizza Experience

After a long, tiring day at the beach, we were really craving some good halal food to refuel. We stumbled across this takeaway spot and were torn between ordering a kebab or a pizza. In the end, we went with their “special pizza,” hoping for something hearty and satisfying.

Unfortunately, it missed the mark. They didn’t mention that it was a thin crust, and we were expecting the classic, fluffy style we’re used to back home in Birmingham. The toppings were underwhelming — barely any chicken, and it was overloaded with mushrooms and veggies, which just wasn’t our thing.

We were too hungry to turn back, so we went ahead and ate it, but it really wasn’t enjoyable. The flavour was basic, the portion felt light, and overall, it just didn’t hit the spot.

Wouldn’t return for the pizza. Maybe the kebabs are...

I ordered at 10:36pm on FoodHub and it stated pickup in 20 minutes. I arrived at about 10:54pm (18 minutes after making the order).

However I twice received calls from the takeaway asking where I was and how long I'd be. Both times after answering I was just hung up on. When I arrived at the takeaway I was told that it closed at 10:45pm. I tried to explain that when I ordered it stated pickup in 20mins however the person just turned their back and walked away without replying.

Having contacting FoodHub they have stated that the closing time is listed as 11pm and the takeaway must have closed early and not updated this. Regardless, this does not excuse how I was treated. I have been many times and not had an issue and I understand that it was frustrating that they had to stay 9mins after their closing time, however following this I will never,...

This take away are just a joke. We waited over an hour for anything to come so we called to be told another half an hour. So we cancelled the order to be verbally abused telling us that it's to late to cancel our order even after we do waited an hour and a half. Then we got a further call to say the order will be another half an hour. We explained that we had cancelled the order from them and it was nearly 2am. We woke up the next day with the order dumped outside of the front door. Not even any knocking on the door or calls to say it had been delivered just dumped and I'm guessing they did that so just eat would notify as delivered. Do not use this take away they are the worse in the country....
