We spent a day in Edinburgh while on a Viking Cruise land excursion. We walked down the Royal Mile and came across the Royal Mile Whiskies store and were quite impressed with the Staff and selections!!! I purchased a bottle of the Dalmore Cigar Blend to take back to the ship with us (yes, Viking allows you to bring alcohol on board).

After our cruise, we had a 3 day land tour back in Edinburgh and made it a point to stop in again to buy a couple of bottles to bring home. Royal Mile Whiskies has a shipping service back to the States that is very reasonable. FYI, the RMW price on Dalmore Cigar Blend was about GBP 20 less than the duty free.

KNOWLEDGEABLE STAFF who have strong opinions and love their whisky! We had a wonderful lady who shared our passion for smoky, peaty Islay whisky! She recommended BenRiach and Signatory Vintage for us, both of which we had rarely tasted in the US. After we got home, we researched both and they were highly rated!
