Jane, you couldn't have made the process any easier, the worry of doing this with the distance between us, we are in Australia, disappeared from our first communication and then there were the zoom calls. We had a lot of laughs and not only was it your designs but your patience that sealed the deal. This has been in the planning for a little while now, but due to Covid and lockdowns and distance… it’s taken way longer than I planned. A while back Catherine had a hand injury that made it necessary to have her Wedding and Engagement rings cut off her finger 😞 I decided it was a better idea to get new ones rather than try and fix the old ones and set Catherine on a mission to find something new and unique that she would love as much as her originals. I think she managed that, with two hand made bespoke rings designed and made in Scotland 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 by Jane North @ Tappit Hen Gallery in Edinburgh. Both Catherine and I are so pleased with the finished rings, we can’t thank Jane enough. Gold rings with Sapphire Thistles. The blue of Scotland's flag and the National Flower of Scotland 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 In Celtic regions, the thistle represents devotion, bravery, determination, and strength, everything our 41 year marriage has come to stand for. We still love each other as much now as we did back then. We had the original inscription engraved in her wedding ring “And you And I - 06/09/80” our favourite Yes Song and the year of our wedding. They arrived today by courier. I placed them on her finger where they belong..I guess we are...

My wife saw a ring online about 2 years ago that she thought was beautiful. A bright blue Sapphire set in a stunning Celtic Knot White Gold ring.

Upon research of the ring I found that it was a from a Jewelry Gallery in Edinburgh, Scotland. Knowing that we were soon traveling to Edinburgh to celebrate 35 years of marriage, I reached out to the Gallery via email to inquire about this particular ring. I received a reply the very next day signed "Regards, Jane". Having done my research earlier, I knew that I was speaking directly to the designer. Jane North is an amazing Scottish Jewelry designer in Edinburgh, known for her authentic Scottish designs. After several emails back and forth, I had the ring commissioned for my wife.

Upon our first day in Edinburgh, we made an appointment to meet Jane at the Tappit Hen Gallery to present the ring to my wife. Jane was the just as pleasant and friendly in person as I felt in our email conversations. She opened the ring and it was as beautiful as we had hoped. My wife was spellbound by its glorious beauty. We spent a good 30 minutes talking with Jane and looking over her collection of jewelry designs at the gallery and even added an absolutely incredible new pendant she had designed. My wife could not be happier!

I recently had the pleasure of working with Jane to create a bespoke engagement ring for my fiancée, Hannah. From our first contact in December 2023, Jane was incredibly supportive and full of creative ideas. I came to her with 101 suggestions myself but had one major request which was to incorporate stones from Hannah’s grandmother’s rings into the new design for her engagement ring. Jane was able to easily accommodate this request and my other ideas and create a very personal and unique design. The ring features two beautiful Trinity knots which hold a stone from Hannah’s grandmothers ring and a stunning pink sapphire at its centre, elements that Jane thoughtfully suggested and executed flawlessly.

Throughout the process, Jane was communicative and accommodating, especially when we needed to make some adjustments to the final design. She ensured everything was perfect and that the final ring was exactly what I wanted and what I felt Hannah would have wanted.

Hannah said Yes! And she absolutely adores her ring, it’s unique, beautifully crafted, and full of meaning.
