Bonnington Brunch — Restaurant in City of Edinburgh

poor service from the café, 1st time in Edinburgh to see the city and i get abismal service from them, it's honestly left a bad taste in my mouth, travelled over 450 miles with my family which includes 2 small toddlers waiting for breakfast that NEVER ARRIVED! NO HELP from the café to arrange something only got "you'll have to reorder"

I would have atleast expected the café to say we will prepare your order and i would have paid as i did mention this on the phone to the person i spoke to, instead i was told "to place the order again" that's totally helpful isn't it? Small family run business? You could've got the order ready again and i would have collected but you chose to say"place the order again".

I don't think the review is unfair as a "small family business" you could have done so much more bearing in mind i told the person i spoke to this was my 1st time in Edinburgh with my family which includes my 2 toddlers you could have understood I'm not familiar with the area.

My review stays the same with the business bonnigton brunch & uber regardless.

In further if this happens again perhaps offer the customer to make the order again if they are willing to pay like i said i would have.

I recently ordered a Bacon Cheese Burger with Jalapeño and hot sauce with chips and cheese. It was exceptional, honestly the best burger I have ever had! I eat a lot of burgers and have tried them from hundreds of cafes and restaurants…..none of them have came close to the quality of that burger! What was even more surprising with it wasn’t just quality, it was quantity as well, it was a large portion and very filling. Quality, quantity and a great price. What more could I ask for. I have now tried numerous items from their menu and everything has been amazing. They really should put their prices up, as most places are either just quality or quantity and expensive but Bonnington Brunch has it all. Big Burger Thumbs up from me. Keep up the great work Bonnington Brunch, best take away/cafe/food establishments...

Great food, especially the quite sweet coffee. I think I’d really like this place if I was local.

But because I order via Uber Eats from them, the experience is pretty bad. The order either gets cancelled by Uber for taking too long or it arrives to Haymarket in about 90 minutes. I think it’s about a 50/50 chance. No other restaurants have this problem.

I’m giving 2 stars because a restaurant you can’t get food from reliably is just not very good, even if the food is excellent and I like small business in general. I hope they take this feedback and figure out why they have these delivery problems...
