PLEASE THINK TWICE BEFORE GOING HERE 🚨🚨🚨🚨 Visited for the first time 2 days ago. As I went there other day to check out the pricing and services they have for a little baby of 7month old. And then one of their staff told me that you don’t need to pay anything for under 1yr kid as there is nothing much to do for under one year old baby so, it would be a free entry as well as for mother & we closed at 5pm. Even tho I crossed checks and made it sure with her and she said yeah it is. So as per staff told me, so after couple days I brought my 7month old kid from all the way from Gracemount to Leith Edinburgh, when I reached at the Wonder World soft play centre, reception staff (South Asian Women) took my info & told me to pay this much amount and I was surprised and asked well how come you are charging me as per I came here 3-4 days ago & your staff given me this information!! .. Rather than asking me who the staff was ? and who told you or making me clear etc ??, she was start behaving rudely and telling me maybe you came here 3-4years ago, making feel on my face that I’m lying. She called me lier front my baby and misbehaving front of my kid as well as staff. Kid learn from us they way she act was unaccountable and rude. When i said excuse me?, thn she was start showing some kinda attitude towards me, then i asked plz call your manager or supervisor who can assist me with right information, after the supervisor came i told him the story and the person who told this how was she looked alike. He just immediately denied & we don’t have staff who looks alike as you explained, and told definitely it wasn’t our staff you must be wrong he also made felt like im lying & made uncomfortable front of his staff just like his receptionist. Supervisor, doesn’t even clear about play area information, he dint even know do they have something for the little babies to do anything in the play area!, he was keep repeating himself and keep pointing for the 1.1/2yr -2yr old playing area only we have for the babies… but I was wondering if you are charging from 0-6, 6-12 month then why don’t you have a specific play area for them??.. how come you are just charging but not providing? It was about our kid safely, As a parent, everyone expect clear information about safety and supervision to make informed decisions about child’s wellbeing when it comes to playing with older than their age, imagine kid haven’t even learned properly crawling and playing along with 1.6-2yr old kids!!….. After a while having conversation i saw the person who told me this information came to reception, when i pointed out that she is the one who gave me that info(their staff) rather then confronting her; supervisor simple just say sorry we don’t have this kind thing in here, I was shocked that he should have checked with her front of me so that transparency should be there! Well it was most worse experience ever, lack of transparency and unhelpful attitude, horrible customer service at reception, which made me uncomfortable front of their whole staff and my baby; it was objective for me. Never gonna go back there ever nor recommending to mum friends. I really appreciate the staff who give me wrong info as per the them, at least she was being honest and telling me there is nothing much to do for little one; rather then thinking about making money she given me honest information.
I just hope management of, “WONDER WORLD SOFT PLAY AND KIDS, EDINBURGH” would take some steps and look into this kinda matters as well as to address this issue with the staff to ensure all customers receive helpful, clear, and ethical care regarding information about...
Read more** First and foremost, the front of house staff could seriously do with some training in customer service or either that find an entirely different job. The attitude, tone and the manner in which 1 individual speaks to customers is disgusting and isnt exactly what you want for 1st impressions, i genuinely thought she was dealing with 2 nippy customers prior to us but turned out YOUR staff member was the issue and not the customer since she continued with her extremely rude manner and was even challeneged by customers as to how she was speaking. Really not the best thing to see from staff upon arrival. ** Absolutly ignore all info regarding covid and their precautions as it all utter rubbish. The place is filthy, if "extra cleaning regimes"has been implemented like they say , then it must be elsewhere because it certainly isnt here. We had to wipe down and clean our tables since we witnessed them being cleared of rubbish but thats all...... No wipe down with any kind of cleaning product. The joys of allowing us to see the entire venue while you try empty the previous session and do this ao called clean before allowing us in..... Again we didn't witness any of this but we did witness many members of staff just "floating about poking at things". Asked specifically about a hand sanatising station since the 2 we tried were empty to be told there "was an issue with them" and thats it.... Staff member was acutually walking away while saying this to us yet website claims to have multiple stations throughout the venue. Stood and watched another mother clean down the peppa pig area for their baby..... The amount of filth that came off the small cushions was disgusting, she even brought a manager to the area and showed him, he even took photos and agreed the area was rotten so im assuming that will go further..... The antibacterial wipes she used to clean 1 item were thick with muck and grime and they claimed this was clean.... Poor managers face said it all to be fair. No napkins to go with any food you purchase so take your own because the amount of grease will guarantee you need to wipe your hands. All photos and info have been given to management however after reading other reviews, it doesn't seem like anything will be done but will give them a chance before i post photos. I appreciate we are still going through covid and that part n parcel is for us to keep ourselves safe however this place makes claims regarding covid and safety measures that are clearly untrue and have absolutly no intentions of keeping any patrons safe but will happily take take take the cash. Utterly disgusting that they have this "we cant be arsed" attitude that just screamed out from the few staff members we did encounter and the poor manager seemed one step away from absolute defeat.... He seemed so broken poor man. Will be watching this space...
Read moreWe arrived a few mins late to an already JAM packed 1 o'clock venue. We got our wrist bands and began wading through the quagmire of dirty tables, grubby floors and kids running amuck with no supervision. Eventually we found a table and I set off with our 19 month old to find something to do while my partner went to get some mediocre lunch.
Unfortunately the area set up for 0-2 years was already pretty full with a handful of old kids. Other than the usual plastic covered seesaws and busy boards there is nothing else for wee ones. No slides or little ball pits.
My partner caught up with me and was told that the kitchen was closed but then a manager corrected the catering staff and said you're not allowed just close. He then said there was going to be a 45 minute wait.... for two ham and cheese toasties and a smattering of fries. We gave it the benefit of the doubt being the lunch run but during this time there was a fire alarm.
After a hurried few minutes we were all told to evacuate the building and joined a queue of people trying to leave through one door without a staff member ushering people to use the other fire door. We exited and not 3 minutes later the alarm was silenced and everyone was allowed back into the building. False alarm and everyone was OK.
I went up to collect the food and looked into the kitchen to see only 2 of the staff wearing cooks smocks and the rest were in just regular clothing with one younger staff member wearing a cropped vest and short shorts. You may only be a fry cook but you're still in the kitchen and at work. More professionalism needed. When we went to eat our food which I think would have been hotter if the building had caught a blaze. It genuinely felt like the kitchen staff had just left the order and then caught up with it once allowed back to work after the fire alarm. I'm not expecting a grand quisine but its really bloody hard to mess up freezer fries.
We gave it another 45 mins after feeling pretty worried about the kids as there was no staff supervision about the play area and a lot of the kids were definitely needing some adult supervision so decided to leave and we would definitely...
