Bibury Trout farm car park — Local services in Cotswold District

CAUCTION - Be aware or AVOID this car park owned by The Trout farm but managed by Ardpark. The car park machine time has not been updated for BST changes and hence gives you a false ticket time and subsequently makes you think when you return you are late and go to pay more money which is a win fall for the management company and the Trout farm. I raised this to Emily Thomas at the Trout farm via email given online but they would not take any responsibility for it and just said take it up with Ardpark company as not their responsibility. A lot of stress and extra time by myself to establish the issue over two days as the fine/charge would be £100 if I had returned late to the car park. The sign on site says you can pay later online as there is no mobile signal at this site. When I went online later I could not see anywhere to pay for an earlier time for this site as I thought when I reviewed my ticket on return to the car I saw I had potentially overrun. I returned the following day to review the sign and machine time which I then discovered was wrong. Very disappoint with the view of Emily that it was nothing to do with them as I will share this view with friends etc. I particularly used their carpark against free street spaces and purchased items from their shop to support local businesses out of season to help...

This farm is located near the Arlington row houses. On busy days it is difficult to get street parking near the row houses. Hence we parked the car in this farm and decided to walk to the Arlington row house.

Tried paying for parking at the pay machine at first which for some reason did not work. Then I decided to use the website for my 2 hour stay. Internet connection is pathetic here and it took ages to pay. Luckily enough I decided to keep the website screenshot of the payment. I also got the email receipt. With this confirmation, I walked away to the row houses.

Few days later, I was slapped with a £100 penalty charge notice from the farm with a reason, vehicle reg number was not entered while paying for parking. I double checked the evidences and found it to be there in screenshot. I disputed this penalty charge which was rejected after 30 days with a second reason. This time there was a new reason that the payment was not made as per the terms and conditions.

I am left with no choice but to dispute this charge at the Independent Appeal Service. I am sure the parking company will find another good reason to make money This car park is just ridiculous and a BIG SCAM so please stay away from it.

Do NOT park in this parking lot. The private company managing the parking (called ARD Parking) are the biggest SCAMMERS. I paid for 2 hours parking online (I did not overstay the 2 hours time limit). I received an email confirming that I have paid. 2 weeks later I received a fine for £ 60. I appealed the fine on the ARD parking website and received a rejection WITHOUT VALID REASON (fine now increased to £ 100 due to delay in paying). They replied with a generic email saying Appeal failed and some garbage about there being plenty of signs bla bla... (totally irrelevant ; nothing about the fact that I had paid). I called Bilbury Farm and the lady who answered the phone aplogised and said that they have received many complaints, but they don't control the parking (maybe they should care as it impacts on their business). I am now complaining to the IPC (some parking fine complaints commission)(what a waste of my time). So irritating. Anyway... I am most definitely NOT paying a fine.
