Lovely restaurant within the Swan hotel. The Western facing outdoor dining area makes for a great sunset dinner.
We had their seasonal lamb and chicken; both were exceptional between perfect cooking of the meat, and well thought sides and sauces. One can argue on the pricier side but worth the gustatory experience. The focaccia bread was equally superb and worth its own mention. The dessert was unfortunately not prepared with the same care; we ordered crème brûlée and lemon posset and both had a gelatinous texture unexpected for this type of dessert.

It has absolutely no atmosphere and given its situation within the most beautiful village imaginable it really ought to be heaving with people. Quite a depressing evening given the lack of atmosphere and the general shabby interior. I felt as though I had wasted an evening of a lovely break in an idyllic setting. In fairness who knows what damage lockdown may have inflicted on the place but given it's the only other eaterie in the village apart from the hotel it should...
