Bella Figura are alteration goddesses! They worked absolute magic on my wedding dress. I asked if they could do the difficult task of cutting the straps off my backless wedding dress so it was strapless and backless, but somehow still stayed up, and they absolutely rose to the challenge and tried different things to make it work- which it absolutely did! I danced (and even jumped!) throughout the night and the dress stayed in place the whole time. Suzanne also made me a pair of bespoke delicate sleeves which were so beautifully made. She completely got what I was after and created something better than I could ever have imagined. Suzanne also tailored a second dress for me which, because of the thick material, other places I'd tried to get it altered had turned down, but she managed to turn something which hung off me, into a dress which was the perfect fit. Wow, wow, wow! I was looking for a dress for my daughter’s wedding but dressing up is not something I feel comfortable with. Naturally I had been putting off the purchase of a new frock as everything I bought was returned as they looked awful on me. By pure chance, whilst visiting Matlock for pork pies I found Bella Figura and the two most loveliest ladies who made my mother of the bride journey become a reality. They took me on a journey, they suggested the most amazing fabric and Suzanne designed me the most sensational dress. Teresa also went the extra mile and helped me find a gorgeous hat. Firstly I want to say the quality of alterations was very good and the people that own the shop were really lovely. Unfortunately, I had my fittings done at 9st2lb, when returning at 9st4 the dress didn't fit at all. I thought it may be the 2lb difference. At 8st11 I tried on again, still did not fit. I had to return for further alterations, arms to be let out etc, at further cost. Even after further alterations, only at 8st7 did I feel comfortable in my dress, a dress I had previously felt confident in at 9st2lb. This added so much pressure to my day, knowing that I needed to lose weight without much time to do so.
