Four adults and a five year old visited for Sunday lunch. We couldn’t have been more welcomed, accommodated and well-fed!
The service was exceptional, so very friendly and they couldn’t do enough. The food was great value (2 roasts to choose from plus 3 different pies with all the usual roast trimmings) - and most importantly, was absolutely delicious. We had to wait a little while for the food to come - but that was no issue for us. The food was fresh and hot when it arrived. The sandwiches were egg mayo, tuna mayo, ham, beef, cream cheese and salmon, cheese and onion and cheese and tomato.
Well done Thorn Tree what a...

Bare in mind if your walking to this venue from the town centre you will be walking up a very steep hill, so you will have to work for that pint I'm afraid. The staff are welcoming but the food menu is limited and not served every day. This is basically a pub for residents living in the houses near by. But the customer's are very nice people which helps create a relaxing atmosphere. The best part of this local pub is the amazing view of Matlock and surrounding area's you get from the front raised beer garden. Probably not the best place for disabled...
