Food was delicious but had a very poor experience.

I have ordered from Efes many times and dropped by the shop after many a night out and always had a great experience. Called in tonight, ordered quite a simple order of a cheesy chip wrap, cheesy chips with lots of mayo and a doner and cheesy chip wrap.

We were told to sit down and wait which we did. It wasn’t until about 10/15 minutes later that we realised other customers had been given a receipt and numbers were being called out. We waited patiently for another 15 minutes, only for numerous customers to walk in and order, to the be served before us, along with orders placed on just eat that they placed on the pass and concentrated on those before serving us. Now I have no issue at all if other orders required priority over ours as I completely appreciate that it was a busy Saturday night and it’s not necessarily a case of first come first served.

There was another party who ordered after us who were also complaining with us about the same issues and then they got served first despite ordering approximately 5 minutes after us.

After half an hour I approached the counter very calmly, simply to ask if we could be given a receipt number. Two other customers also made the same query at the same time as myself. I am the least confrontational person in the world and didn’t raise my voice or cause a fuss at all, I simply approached the counter and waited for them to also come back to the counter so that I could ask for a receipt number.

When I asked, the staff member told me to sit down, which I responded with please can I just have a receipt number as others seem to have been given one. He begun to get rather dismissive of my query and told me to sit down and wait.

2 minutes later they finally prepared the order and passed me a doner wrap and a cheesy chip wrap, which we had been waiting for for over half an hour despite these being very simple items to make that are pre cooked unlike a pizza. I collected the items and asked where the cheesy chips were, to which he got quite hostile and told me to ‘Walk away’. I responded that it was no problem and just wondered how long they would be, at which point he told me to walk away again.

After collecting the final item I tried to reason with him and state how I wasn’t making a huge issue, I just wondered why it took so long. He then told me to walk away again.

The cheesy chips had no mayo on as requested, so my friend took the item off me and approached the counter to question why the order was not correct after waiting so long. He stated that I had not asked for mayo and once again told her to walk away.

Im all for showing loyalty and forgiving mistakes, but if I were a first time customer the service received would certainly not warrant a return. Really poor experience and such a shame after enjoying your kebabs and other food for...

This is the second time I’ve been in now late at night .. I paid 20 pounds for a house special kebab and chips.. the guy is lazy moaning about us calling to order at 10.50pm he complained about having to deliver personally so I collected .. on the grill there was a meagre portion both lamb sheesh and chicken..not even one full breast of chicken!! I did tell them last Time I got something late I was upset that it was dry meat no salad or anything to moisten up the dry meat .. this time I’m sat with a full pizza box of meat.. NOT ONE BIT OF A SALAD .. just kebab meat bulking up the box oc three small bits of each chicken and lamb.. I can’t meat alone. No one should pay 20 quid for meat alone!! I had to go back and the abuse was RIDICULOUS .. #goodlamb but nothing like enough .. I have now a pizza box of doner meat! They would not open the fridge to give any salad AT ALL .. it’s not a balanced meal anyway but that was horrid

This was the worst experience that I have ever had from any takeaway that I have ever had. I was told that there would be a 45 minute wait, that's ok.i don't mind that, but after 1 1/2 hrs I phoned up to ask where my meal was, I was told it was 4 minutes away that was a joke. Nearly 20 minutes later my meal turned up. Not Very happy asked the driver are you going to give me any discount? He phoned the shop up and they said no. I didn't want to have a go at the driver after all it's not his fault. I phoned the shop to complain and was totally dismissed. The food was cold not even edible. I asked for a refund and was told not a chance.So I phoned the shop not very helpful there. Sorry we have been really busy tonight" that is all I could get out of them" So sorry I will not be using you ever...
