Beware when buying concert tickets!!!

So back in December, I purchased 4 tickets for the upcoming Madness gig at the racecourse. As I wanted to take my kids, I carefully checked if there were any age restrictions. The only condition stated that under 18's had to be accompanied by an adult so I hit the purchase button.

On checking the racecourse website today, a message had been put up now saying that under 12's would not be allowed at the gig. Having not seen this before, I contacted the racecourse where I spoke to a rude lady who liked to talk over me. She stated that it was always the case that under 12's were not allowed. I knew this wasn't the case but they were adamant.

I was even told this had been published on the social media pages of the racecourse. A quick look at Twitter and Facebook right back to when the tickets went on sale and guess what? There is no mention of under 12's not being allowed.

So beware when buying tickets to Uttoxeter Racecourse when you are planning to take the kids. They are likely to change the conditions and the lie to you when you complain.

The age rule doesn't apply to around the country. Went to see Madness a few years ago at Wolverhampton Racecourse where kids...

Ladies Day Staff were professional, friendly & helpful. Good security staff & police with sniffer dogs to prevent drugs being taken into the event. Plenty of parking. Very disappointed with the Premier Area needs refurbishment, tarmac/concrete floor needs removing & grass laid like other racecourses we've attended. The grandstand in the area was a complete disgrace very dirty, we were first in & there was squashed food & cigarette ends left there from the last event. We were expected to sit on this mess in our beautiful dresses & had to as there was nowhere else to sit! The only advantage was that we were directly in front of the finishing line. Good atmosphere for the horse racing. Toilets also need refurbishing & hand dryers repairing, but were very clean. Unfortunately after only the first race the ladies toilets looked like a tornado had ripped through them what a mess due to the clientell. Far too much flesh on display, women ignorant & selfish. Very few ladies attended. Food & drink was good & plenty of choice, but as everywhere else over priced. Roman Kemp offered a good gig for the youngsters, too much noise for us senior citizens. Would return for general racing or concert that...

Uttoxeter Racecourse Christmas Party

Came to the Racecourse for a work Xmas do, the venue itself was good, the staff were very nice, lots of confusion regarding the meal and who had what, a lot of the younger staff were quite confused it seems thankfully the more senior members of the team knew what was going on, it did seemed stressed at times but drinks were plentiful and kept coming. Concerning the meal, a lot of our party of 42 weren't too thrilled about the menu to be honest, it seemed to be very fancy, unnecessarily, which led to the starters of baba ganoush and terrine being very underwhelming and main course of Christmas dinner was yum! The other options such as carrot Wellington and nut roast were not too good. Dessert was okay, although it would have been nice for a festive option. The highlight was the entertainment with a great DJ and the dancefloor was never empty, security were impeccable too, quick to do use any situations and help those who had a bit too...

We had a great day out at uttoxeter races on new year's Eve, despite the stress of getting there! The whole town was grid locked with traffic trying to get to the races, coaches were pulling over on the dual carriageway to let their passengers walk the final mile in their fine clothes and high heels. The signs for race parking took you down a narrow cobbled Street with no car park at the end. And the huge field that some people found was not signed at all from the main roads in. Despite having planned to arrive an hour early, we missed the first race and very nearly the second. It was shambolic. This approach continued on site as the chip stall ran out of chips! The thing was good, facilities OK and atmosphere was amazing. But I would think twice before going again. Thankfully we thought twice! Had an amazing day at the midland grand national yesterday. Journey in smooth, signs clear and perfect weather for a fun day out - even if I didn't back a single winner.
