Absolutely disgusting.
I recently had the absolute displeasure of visiting this KFC location, and I can confidently say it was one of the worst dining experiences I have ever had. From the moment I stepped through the door, I was met with nothing but rudeness and complete indifference from the staff. It was as if they were doing me a favor by even acknowledging my presence. To make matters worse, when I asked to speak with the manager about the poor service, the manager himself was just as rude, if not worse. There was no sense of professionalism, no apology — just attitude and dismissiveness, as though customer satisfaction was the last thing on their minds.
Moving on to the food, which somehow managed to be even more disappointing than the service. The chicken was not cooked properly — parts of it were suspiciously raw, while the outside was burned and tasted strongly of old, burnt oil. It was immediately clear that the oil in their fryers hadn’t been changed in far too long. Every bite was a greasy, disgusting reminder that cleanliness and food quality are clearly not priorities at this location. The fries were soggy and limp, drenched in oil and completely devoid of any crispness. Even the soft drinks tasted off, as if the machine hadn’t been cleaned in months.
As if that wasn’t enough, the state of the restaurant itself was absolutely appalling. The toilets were an outright health hazard — filthy, with puddles of water and what I can only hope was water all over the floors. The overwhelming stench of urine hit me the second I walked anywhere near the bathroom, and it was strong enough that you could smell it even from parts of the dining area. It made eating there feel nauseating and genuinely unsanitary. Clearly, no one was making any effort to keep the place clean or presentable. I didn’t see a single staff member attempt to clean anything during my time there, even as puddles grew and trash piled up around the bins.
Overall, this visit was a complete disaster from start to finish. Between the incompetent, rude staff, the terrible food, and the absolutely filthy environment, I wouldn’t recommend this KFC to my worst enemy. Save your time, your money, and your stomach — go literally anywhere else. Management at this location should be deeply ashamed, and frankly, the place should probably be inspected by health...
Read moreSo usually I’m not one for giving bad reviews but I live locally to town meadows and the last 3 times I’ve been down to the kfc, I’ve been disappointed. I also use the one in Stoke (Mier) when visiting family and working and also in Nuneaton (with work) none of which I’ve ever had issues with.
First time. No gravy and no explanation for a 15 minute wait on chicken. Staff more interested in having a laugh with each other.
Second time. No gravy or chicken on the bone and the staff are quite unprofessional laughing and having fun instead of dealing with waiting customers.
Third time. No gravy (picked something else) again staff purely just messing around joking with each other (heard over the drive through mic and the window bay) No covid measures in place by the looks of it with only one member of staff wearing a mask at the window and the other 4 members of staff (that I could see) not wearing a mask (what’s the point?)
No drinks holder given with multiple drinks and then was about to hand the food over when another member of staff shouted that the girl had forgotten to put the burgers in the bag (the majority of the food) to which she just laughs and blatantly admits she hasn’t even checked the order like it was a joke.
Now again I’m not one to get remotely wound up but when any customer is paying between £15-30 for there food they should at least expect a level of service or convenience with that price tag.
McDonald’s. Always has stock, always polite (even though scripted) fast and reliable orders and if they do forget something they compensate without argument.
KFC in Uttoxeter is none of the above. I actually enjoy kfc more than McDonald’s but I’m finding myself using McDonald’s more just because it’s just hard work to even go to kfc and have a good /smooth experience when ordering.
There seems a lack of competent staff, competent ordering of stock and competent management at this place and it’s a shame because I really like kfc as a brand but the tow meadows lets the franchises down big time in comparison to other...
Read moreWhen making the order through drive through the staff member clearly did not listen to the order correctly. Did not confirm the order to ensure it was correct. Pulled through to the next window and got asked to park in the car park opposite by a member of staff who was not wearing any face protection which when looked further no member of staff was wearing face protection. Within current regulations that follow the food industry is it not standard during this pandemic for staff to be wearing face coverings at all times???? This was the followed up by the member of staff who was tasked to being the food out. He delivered food to the order before ours again with out a facemask. The guys order didn't include a fork so he went back the drive through window to get a fork whisky jovial swearing to other member of staff again heard by customers is a very poor customer experience. This member of staff also did not sanitise or change his gloves between delivering the orders to the cars He then bought our food out with no face covering. The order was wrong as gravy was asked for. Also we asked for orange fruit shoot. Food was warm to cold and in the mighty bucket for 1 one of the hot wings was just grissle battered. We asked for sauce for the boneless banquet again missing from the order. And we were given no straws for our drinks. The restaurant was not busy at all so there wasn't even the excuse that they were understaffed. The staff seems to be laughing and joking amongst each other and seemed like the we really not bothered about giving a good customer journey. This will also be shared on trip advisor and google to warn other customer of the poor standards of hygiene that your staff are giving to customer also potentially putting customer at risk throughout...
