Lovely, large park to walk with the dogs.
I drove to the very end of the driveway so we could get past the golf course quicker and safely. We walked along the path with the railway on the left of us, but we turned around after walking for about 30 minutes as the fencing/wall to keep you safe from the railway tracks was really low, do I was worried the dogs could have jumped over it; to the right was a very steep drop to the River Tyne, also adding to my worry about the dogs falling over and getting badly hurt, or swept away by the current of the river. The open space was great for the dogs to run around off lead, providing you keep away from the golf course. There was a little cafè but I cannot comment on the prices because we went to Greggs up the road before we went. Ample, free parking, all flat. Cafe Enna is open to all at the golf club a d there are fairly basic public conveniences (great to see them open, well lit and clean during our visit). It's popular with dog walkers.
