We were a group of 7 friends, and none of us had tried an escape room before. We were so glad we chose Prodigy as they were so friendly and welcoming. We picked the Temple escape and went for the Hard version originally, but being newbies, they adjusted the room for us to make some clues slightly easier. We still had to take a couple of hints in order to escape in the time allotted, but we were quite close to solving them, so were happy with that. The set and props were great fun and the puzzles challenging, but with some clues to be solved more physically and some more mentally, which gave each of us a chance to have our own input. Would recommend to anyone and they have another room to try, plus one more in the making. Thank you for our exciting time with you! We'll be back!

We just finished another escape room here, and once again, it exceeded our expectations! This was actually the first escape room we ever did about 8 months ago, and since then, we’ve done around 15 others, but we had to come back to where it all started. The staff here is absolutely wonderful – they’re so friendly and open, happy to explain everything about escape rooms and even share cool details like a spreadsheet with statistics. Whether you’re completely new to escape rooms or have done many like us, this place is perfect. The rooms are creative, challenging, and fun, no matter your experience level. If you’re looking for a great escape room, look no further – we highly recommend it!

We 'completed' (61.24)The Lost Temple at Prodigy Escapes yesterday. Our GM was Ella who was really welcoming, friendly and was sure to make our experience a good one. Ella really got into character so that we could fully immerse in the experience. The Lost Temple was an exceptional room. The puzzles were well thought out and expertly put together. It was challenging but really enjoyable. Seriously, get yourselves here to play their rooms as they are brilliant. At Prodigy Escapes, we had so much fun, More than when we watched Hamilton, We will be back, that's for sure To play the new room for puzzles galore.

Prodigy Escape Rooms have got the formula for a successful business absolutely spot on. I had to contact them on booking and Lisa could not have been more friendly or helpful, but was also interested in our reasons for visiting and keen to help make it as special as she could for us. It was our twins 8th birthday and they are brand new to the escape room scene, so Lisa suggested that they let us see an in-progress room to help the kids feel extra comfortable. They LOVED it! They really felt like they were being given a VIP experience. Ella met us when we got there on the day and was so happy to see us and excited for our game! She was super enthusiastic and told us everything we needed to know in a way that the kids could understand, which they again loved. Ella was charismatic and fun and was so helpful when it came to the game, so that we had our best chance at success, which was exactly what we needed for a first-time birthday escape room! Ella remembered the kids names and used them as often as she could to really get the kids engaged and geared up - great touch. She also complimented them on the radio when they figured out a clue themselves and gave them kid friendly hints when they were close so they didn't get side tracked. The building itself was beautifully decorated and very professional looking and we were all impressed at how much effort had gone into just the entrance way. The game room was full of detail and the game was interesting, well thought out and so much fun! The details were brilliant, it even included it's own language. We could really tell that so much planning and effort had gone into it. When we managed to finish the room with 13 minutes to spare, the kids were rewarded with special birthday sweets, which really added to their sense of achievement. We had some lovely family photos taken after and had a chat with Ella, who's enthusiasm carried on right till we left the building. We met Lisa after the game and she was just as lovely and friendly as she was via email. All in all, we had a fantastic time. Worth every penny. We will definitely be returning - I'm sure I won't hear the end of it from the kids until we do! If you are looking for an escape room to ease your kids into this fantastic hobby, I could not recommend Prodigy enough to you - well done team Prodigy on...

What a treat to visit Prodigy Escape this afternoon.

The venue was immaculate, well equipped and welcoming with everything thought of down to a phone charger in your secure locker. I enjoyed the photo book in reception documenting the journey they have been on since acquiring the premises (even more impressive when realising it is all thought up and built by Dan and his wife) We walked over but there was more parking than expected available outside and closer nearby.

We were hosted by Dan who was absolutely top drawer - chatty, warm and very tolerant of our nervous excitement! The briefing in the room was themed and set the scene well for the mission.  As seasoned escapers I have to say we were not on good form today - but happily our gamesmaster was ready with a helpful hint if we were seen to be charging off on a mad tangent. The approach is focussed on wanting teams to have an enjoyable experience and succeed in escaping, without standing outside with the "almost escaped" clipboard of shame. I feel this would be a really welcoming venue for anyone wanting to dip a toe into escaping without knowing anything about what to expect.

We solved the Haunting of Clifton Manor and have to say the room was excellent. Props, theming, audio all fabulous and just flowed really well. A solid story underlay the mission, with a few amusing treats thrown in and enough jumps to get a group of four ladies screeching! The mix of puzzles was challenging but enjoyable with several things we haven't ever encountered before and some unique ideas.

Dan took the time afterward to show us a sneak peek at their new room (which already looks amazing) - and was happy chatting through other escape venues in the area and sharing experiences. It's clear they have a lot of love for their business and are investing in providing a really first class experience.

Thank you for a fab afternoon - we will be back to tackle Mission Impawsible when we can, intrigued by that cute frontage wondering what it's...

Our adventure in Exeter began like any other day—just a group of friends, known as Da-Simmons, seeking a thrill. Little did we know, we were about to embark on an expedition that rivalled even the wildest dreams of Benedict Cumberbatch.

As we entered the chamber, we were greeted by the unexpected sight of a raptor guarding the entrance, looking as fierce as an ice hockey player ready for the championship game. The atmosphere was electric, with the air thick with suspense and the cheeky sound of bants echoing through the ancient halls.

The room was a labyrinth of clever gadgets and hidden clues. We navigated through treacherous paths with the precision of a spreadsheet wizard, each clue bringing us closer to the elusive Chimalpopoca Idol. At one point, we stumbled upon a clue hidden under what looked like a turnip—an odd but amusing detail that kept us on our toes.

We pushed forward, undeterred, fuelled by the thrill of the chase and a motorbike-like drive to succeed. The gods demanded appeasement, and we were determined to give it to them. Amidst the chaos, we finally uncovered the idol—it bore an uncanny resemblance to a cheeky penguin, its eyes glinting with mischief.

The climax of our journey saw us outwitting a rival expedition with a combination of strategy, teamwork, and no small amount of cheeky humour. In the final room, amidst ancient artefacts and relics, we found the Idol and claimed our victory. The sense of accomplishment was palpable as we unlocked the treasures, ensuring Da-Simmons would be remembered in the annals of history.

This escape room was nothing short of fantastic—every twist and turn, every clever gadget and cheeky clue, all made for an unforgettable adventure. If you're ever in Exeter, ready your raptors, polish your spreadsheets, and embrace the spirit of adventure. This is one quest you won't want to miss!

On a serious note, it’s was great & Dan the host was...
