Great pub/cafe/bakery. This breakfast pie served with hash browns, fried egg and lovely fresh bread is a delight. The pie and the bread are made on site and from scratch and it was crammed full of sausage, bacon, tomato, beans and mushroom. The pastry is a really excellent short crust that is slightly crumbly but neither soggy or dry. The pub itself its quite recently renovated, the proprietors are very friendly and rightly proud of their fare and it manages to pull off the slightly surreal combination of pub and bakery (you can buy cakes, bread and pastries from the bakery counter). I'll be going back to try the dinner pies and also the all-you-can-eat breakfast on Friday mornings...

Read moreVisit 1:No pies on Sunday or Monday! Had a carvery on Sunday, this is the sole choice. Tasted great! Good quality crackling! Yum. Cauliflower cheese, tasted very good and not too soft. Vegetables were well cooked. Staff were pleasant. Good selection of beer and cider, all good!
Visit 2: Went for a ride on my motorcycle to church and met a mate afterwards. The Clifton had a good selection of alcohol free drinks, I went for the non-alcoholic Guinness which compared to the original is very good. Good atmosphere in the pub, groups of people meeting up.
Pool table is fun to use with mates.
