Oh My Kimchi — Restaurant in Exeter

I recently dined at a delightful Korean restaurant - Oh My Kimchi that truly exceeded my expectations. The vibrant atmosphere instantly set the stage for an authentic culinary experience.

Starting with the Japchae I was blown away by the perfectly cooked sweet noodles. They were stir-fried to perfection, capturing the essence of the dish with a wonderful blend of vegetables and a hint of sesame oil. Each bite was a harmonious mix of flavors and textures.

Next up was the Kimchi Fried Rice. This dish was an absolute winner! The fried rice was packed with flavor, featuring a generous amount of tangy kimchi that added a delightful kick. The balance of spice and the freshness of the vegetables made it incredibly satisfying. It was the kind of comfort food that warms your heart.

The Fried Wings were another highlight of the meal. Crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside, they were perfectly seasoned and had just the right amount of heat.

Finally, the Bulgogi Rice was a feast for both the eyes and the palate. The marinated beef was tender and flavorful, with a sweet and savory profile that paired beautifully with the fluffy rice. The dish was garnished with sesame seeds and green onions, elevating its presentation and taste.

Overall, this restaurant is a must-visit for anyone seeking authentic Korean cuisine. Each dish was crafted with care and full of flavor, making it a memorable dining experience. I can't wait to return and explore more...

My partner and I have been regularly ordering from OMK on deliveroo since they opened and we finally found the time to visit in person. It’s a lovely, spacious restaurant with a great atmosphere, great service and most of all, incredible food.

Everything is exceptionally cooked, with fresh ingredients, amazing flavour and authentic taste. All the dishes are great comfort food that hit the spot for my Asian food cravings. Unsurprisingly, the food tastes even better in the restaurant, even though the delivered food was already great despite accounting for delivery time/distance.

The staff are also super kind, friendly and welcoming, which fosters a lovely atmosphere of openness and warmth; perfectly in line with the food that is served. The restaurant is also family friendly which is always a bonus, as it’s hard to find nice places to eat with a baby in tow!

It’s a shame we forgot to take photos of the food as we were too eager to dig in, but a few standout dishes include the kimchi jeon, bulgogi japchae, kimchi fried rice, pork jeyuk bokkeum, kimchi jjigae, and the hotteok which are to die for. It’s hard to pick favourites though, because I’d eat the entire menu every time if I physically could.

Absolutely fantastic ,delicious , Korean food We were a party of four and it was my sons 13 birthday. The restaurant is near a busy crossroads and may be mistaken for a takeaway but it is far from a fast food outlet. Oh My Kimchi serves high class really authentic Korean food cooked to perfection. I was completely amazed and blown away by the experience. The welcome is genuinely friendly and warm. The restaurant is smart clean and very well decorated. The menus are comprehensive clear and describe the food clearly with perfect pictures. The starters we had were delicious washed down with Korean lager and we tried the 5 shot flavoured rack . The mains were mouth-waveringly good . I had Govhujang jjigue soup with rice which was so flavourful and my wife had Dak-Galbi chicken! Everything was cooked to the highest standard everything was delicious! The ginger pancotta was fab ! 2 beers ( shots 4 x 3 course meals plus 3 bottles of water and a few comps for around £100.00!! Great value very good quality ! Oh My Kimchi is a stand out restaurant so find the time to try it it is 5-10 minutes stroll from the centre. It is not commercial, it is not your regular tourist food it is top quality cuisine so I urge you to try it . It is the type of restaurant I would drive 2-3 hours to experience it...
