D'Agostini's — Local services in Folkestone and Hythe District

I don't understand why this place has positive reviews. My fish and chips were quite poor. The cod was a thin fillet like you might find in a supermarket frozen meal and the batter was really thick and greasy. The oil needed changing and so the fish, although edible was a bit foul and unappetising. The chips were ok, average. The prices are quite reasonable but I'd like to see the quality improve and pay a bit more. Would not recommend this place. Locals would be better off going to Papas...

We got a cod and chips and it was absolutely beautiful however the only let down for me (as a personal choice) were the chips... i prefer an nice chunky proper chip shop chip and here they were more fries which not only got cold very quickly when we got home and dished up, they weren't enjoyable. A brilliant chip shop used a fair few times staff are lovely and friendly and the food is beautiful in here highly recommend, busy which is always a good sign fantastic. Mini cod and chips is more like a large cod and chips the chicken burger is lovely my daughter has told me, spring roll is lovely and the prawns was lovely as well, really good price not to expensive not to cheap.
